Do not invest
I invested 1k just to try this app out after hearing numerous podcasts talk about it. 3 years later I canβt even sell my shares at a major discount. I just want out, doesnβt seem like there is much transacting going on besides the people selling the paintings making the actual profit then your stuck with shares you canβt even trade..

high fees and relentless spam
i signed up for masterworks because friend recommended but after reviewing their fees decided against investing.
since then they've spam called me regularly despite me asking to be removed from
their list
the app and website don't let me update/remove my contact info.
sketchy af business practices, strongly discourage even signing up.

Pretty worthless
Theyβre slowly reducing app value - you canβt see portfolio performance anymore. Of course you can buy art on the app, but everything else is buried on the web. Super lame - telegraphing that no one (except them) is making any money here.
