No longer working

These use to work perfectly. Now they will not work at all. Connecting it is overly complicated and will not seem to work no matter which mode I choose. I don’t recall it being so difficult to connect when I first got these lights a few years ago.

FIX YOUR BROKE. APP

I can’t connect anything fix this mess

They want you’re personal info BE AWARE !!

I was downloading the app and saw the reviews and it is as terrible as they say it is but the man problem is that they want your WiFi name and password, router info, and your phone info all just too make your room a different color very suspicious and unsafe I would not recommend buying this product or installing the app

Works

Works for me, get rekt nerd

Please fix the connection issues

It's ridiculous how I'm always having some sort of issue connecting back the lights when my phone, light and router are in the same room. I'm considering throwing my lights away if there isn't an update addressing this.

Garbage

Lights look like they could be nice but the trash app system won’t sync to my phone/internet no matter what I do. Can’t wait to take this junk back to the store. Don’t waste your money.

Same as everyone else

Are you gonna attempt to fix the app issue or at least tech people how to connect properly??

Absolutely Horrible

Definitely avoid. Followed all recommendations, these do not work. Buy the $5 option from Menards instead, it comes with a remote like this one should.

Doesn’t connect

You have to connect your phone in order for them to work and it will not connect

Won’t Connect

I have been trying for hours, literally to try and get these lights to work and over and over again it just says “Timed Out”. 😑I can’t take it anymore these things are junk don’t ever buy these this company is a SCAM!!

Horrible

These strips are useless because they don’t even connect. I spent my $13 on something that doesn’t even work.

Worst app ever

Never get these lights! Tried everything , followed directions exactly , won’t work at all, don’t waste your time like I did.

Junk!

As with almost of the other comments... WON’T CONNECT fix your dam app before you sell these.

“Connection failed”

I followed all the guidelines. Made sure my wifi settings were correct, tried “ap mode” after an hour of trying to figure out a way to connect, it just doesn’t. I keep trying and when it reaches 99%, it “times out.” Returning this.

Great App

Love that I can set a timer to turn my lights on and off! It is so easy to use with my colored tape light. Highly recommend!

Great app!

The app works exactly as advertised and even works with other WIFI products I have, a big plus!

Can’t wait to see what they may add/update in the future.

Pay attention, it only works on a 2.4GHz network, 5GHz won’t work.

Didn’t work

The app would get to 100% then say it timed out. Wasted about an hour to get them synced and nothing. Returning the lights to the store and deleting the app.

Hideous App

The lights themselves are good.
But the procedure to configure the app to the lights and then to connect to WiFi is the most hideous engineering task I have ever witnessed. FYI, I’ve been working in technology for 30 years, specializing in App development and WiFi networking. So trust me on this, do not use this product. If a computer scientist cannot figure out how to get the lights working with the App, you will have zero chance of getting it to work. Will be returning the unit back to Menards tomorrow. It’s a shame that the App is so dreadful as the lights themselves seem to be of good quality.

Ok, change plans. I decided to log into my router and change the security from WPA2 to WPA Personal. That apparently is the trick to getting it to connect. Now that I can log into the app, I can say the app does everything it advertises. My only issue, is I wish it could work in peer to peer or adhoc networking mode. That way it would be able to be controlled in an automobile. I.e. away from a home network. That said, once the lights colors are set via the app, power off and then on, the lights retain their programmed colors. Witch would work in cars that only want a specific color.

Ass

Don’t work

HERES HOW TO GET IT TO WORK

After 3 days of messing around, I finally got it to work for the LED light strip.

Go through all the steps the app tells you.

Get to “Add a device” click it.

It will say “do you see rapid blinking lights?”

DONT CLICK YES.

In the top right of the screen it will say “AR Mode”

Make sure to connect with AR mode. It’s the same as the other mode, except the other mode doesn’t work.

Make sure your light is flashing slowly. NOT fast. (You’ll have to hold the button on the lights to make it go into slow mode.)

Follow steps that it shows. (Which are the same steps, just on a different working mode.)

Terrible app design and terrible walkthrough on the help page. Terrible support website. Terrible way to set lights up. I’ve worked with Bluetooth lights before and it was incredibly simple. These lights are not. They aren’t even that bright but for $12 it’s whatever.

I hope this review will help some of you out there because there is NO indication that “AR mode” is the right mode, and there are NO articles online but this specific brand of lights. This company assumes users know too much and we don’t know anything about “WiFi lights”.
