The best app I have

I found this app by accident after hearing the birds in my garden and wondering which one was singing, since then I’ve recommended it to lots of family and friends because it’s so good, it lets you know which birds are there and highlights which one is singing, it also gives information on the birds where they come from and other brilliant information, of all the apps I have this is the best I cannot recommend it enough and the fact it’s free just amazes people, well done to the people that have made it your brilliant and hopefully it will help people understand birds better thank you x

Just get it right now

This app is amazing, it really helps me get out more and find birds, before, I didn’t even think that birds can be cool, but now, I’m looking out windows and listening to birds everyday

Eye-opening tool

Check out allaboutbirds.org for more detailed info. I wish they would include all of that info in the app as well

Love this!!

This app is so interesting and helpful☺️

Brilliant Now Not

Was amazing picking up faintest bird calls. I’ve just had 2 flocks of gulls go overhead and nothing zip zilch. You can hear them all on the recording but no ID. Why?

Converts city slickers into nature nerds

Even my friends who spend the least time outside love Merlin as soon as I tell them about it, and pull the app up any time they hear a bird singing!

Best bird ID app ever!

This app has helped me start getting into bird watching, and get outside more! It’s so easy to use, and addicting finding new birds!

Fantastic!

Works very well and nicely packaged app.

Fantastic bird identification

I became interested in identifying local birds but found it difficult using tools such as AI the ruse photos as birds often flew off before I took a picture. This app listens to bird calls and identifies them within seconds, saving time and not requiring me to get too close to the bird itself. I was really impressed by how quick the recognitions are and how extensive the bird database is as it was able to determine that there was an exotic bird flying around as it was someones pet that they often let out.

Can’t login

After the new update the app freezes and I will not let you touch anything some times it lets you record but it says 0 seconds and says location unknown I’m at my house ?

Pi** poor record keeping

You register with the app and click the link to confirm your email and start using it and recording data. Five days later the app tells you that you never registered despite having all the emails confirming you did.

Absolute best bird identification

None like any else. Helps me track and guide all my birds. I also love the feature that when you are recording a bird that doesn’t live near hear it won’t tell you. 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lifer

Just got my liferrrrrrrrr

Just try it

completely free, no pop ups. I feel like a scientist.

Thank You

This app is so refreshingly satisfying. It has worked for me flawlessly and has not bombarded me with lures, stupid lies or teases to get me to subscribe to avoid further pains. THAT right there gets my support.
But then, that’s not the world we live in is it? Guess then I’ll donate. This is worth it. Thank you again Merlin. You seem to be good people.

Remarkable App

This is one of the most remarkable and useful apps I have encountered. I give kudos to the developers at Cornell for creating this useful app. It definitely engages you and helps to identify birds through their calls and images. This is a must for birdwatching. Can’t say enough positives about Merlin. Thank you for providing such a wonderful gift!

peak

it’s really great to have apps like this.
it’s simple, no ads, no payments, and it’s just all around perfect. i’ve just gotten into birding and it’s awesome, i’ve always wanted to but i only recently took action. this is just going to make it so much easier, so thank you!

Great app! Just add a widget feature…

I’d love to see a widget for easy accessibility, plus, just merge this with eBird? Why are there 2 apps?

“Sounds” doesn’t work

When you think Merlin has identified a bird but you want to use the sound option to hear what it should sound like and scroll down to Sounds, the sound doesn’t work.
And one more thing: when Merlin has identified some birds and you leave the app for a while, when you come back to the app, what it identified has disappeared!
