Mercy flow
I take it there’s only one mercy flow told to pay I’ve paid for it, but it doesn’t show the bridge. I went over on it.
Useless
Opens to a white screen and nothing else! Same on their website using Apple Safari. Just another way for them to charge you for late payment.
Garbage
Absolute garbage. Can’t log in, can’t change password, can’t access account, app crashes and hangs, telephone people just keep saying nothing wrong with the account and to try in 24 hours (told that 4 times now).
I can’t believe people release apps as awful as this in 2026. My 12 year old could do better.

Useless
Saturday night and I’m trying to pay for a bridge crossing. App just hangs and does nothing at all. Website does the same. Payment page doesn’t load. Useless.

Ok holding my hands up. It didn’t work and I got a penalty charge because I put my car reg in with a number instead of a letter. Mersey flow looked into it and have been very prompt and very gracious considering it was my error. I’ve re set my details and hope it works next time.
Doesn’t work
Completely useless app. Essentially, can’t pay for a crossing so what is the point of this app?
Update means it doesn’t work
Used to work fine, top up and then crossings are deducted from you balance. Now it just ignores the balance and charges the card.
Impossible to register
Application attempts to send confirmation code email, but never arrives, needs app sorting!
Awful
Absolutely nothing on the app works, how can something that should be so simple, be so poor?
Rubbish app
App Stopped working, can’t check crossings owed, ended up with 2 effing fines, diabolically rude customer services woman, absolutely no help whatsoever, will use the tunnel more now to save giving money to this service and to their wages
Bad App, Bad Payment System
This app is almost useless, and is on the top of a poor payment system which just makes it easy to miss payments innocently- which of course leads to increasing revenue through fines!
The system only allows for pay-as-you go style top-up rather than literal pass through of payment direct to card.
The app doesn’t track crossings if you make them without paying, so the first thing you know is when you are hit by a fine letter.
The app doesn’t allow for tracking/visibility of PCN’s so you can’t see what you’ve been hit with.
The app doesn’t give pop-up notifications for crossings or anything (why???) so you are reliant on catching an email that might be buried in your inbox.

Scam
The app is always somehow broken so it doesn’t allow you to pay your fare! But they will send you a load of penalty charge notices. Absolute scam.
Woeful!
Use the web page, The app won’t let me log in doesn’t recognise my details , email or registration. The on trying to pay without logging in registration is linked to an account so can’t proceed. £4.80 is not worth 40 min of my life. Very poor. Please review urgently!
Autopay no longer works
Only giving 1 star because I had to. I have had autopay set up for years but now it just does not work, nor does it allow me to re add my card details and give a generic “an error occurred while executing a request”. I can only log in to my account on the app too but not on the main website. It’s like they work as two completely different systems. Do not rely on auto pay when crossing as you will only be issued a PCN

Can’t update card details and got served a PCN
The app is showing an error when I click on my card - this needs updating and I didn’t get a notification to update it, so auto pay stopped working and I got charged with a PCN. I’ve now paid this because I accept my responsibility to update the card details, but now I’m trying it won’t actually let me?

Shame on not only the developers but whoever thought it was a good idea to use their app for this service.

Shocking. Awful.
If I could give it less than a star I would. The website doesn’t work. The app doesn’t work. How can you, in 2026 now, operate solely with an online system and have it be this completely awful? Baffling.
