Message App

Change icon color

What’s not to like but what would be better is if you change the icon color to the classic Apple messages blue color. I’m starting to think the green icon color reflects the Android more than Apple.

Name Group Chats

So glad you can finally react to messages with the full emoji library.
But how are we deep into 2026 and Apple Messages does not allow you to name your group chats??
I’m in a lot of groups. I need to be able to QUICKLY identify which one I need for whatever specific thing I’m trying to message about.
A cluster of tiny little icons that may or may not have a photo, along with “8 people”, IS NOT HELPFUL.
Let me name it. And I don’t want to name the whole group chat for everyone in it. I want to name it on my device only.

Harassment by proxy!

I have had an iPhone for over a decade. Never had any issue with the messaging app until this past weekend. Apple has blocked my number from receiving any messages from most phone numbers. I contacted support over the issue, but they were of no assistance. They told me that my phone number is permanently blocked and I will never be able to use iMessages again. Thus I will not be able to receive messages from a number of people as well so basically they’ve restricted my phone number from even receiving any type of message. RCS SMS doesn’t matter. I am unable to receive messages. Text messages. They claimed that maybe it’s a carrier issue yet. The issue did not begin until they blocked my number from being able to send and receive messages through the iMessage app. They claimed that my number was spamming people, and there were multiple reports of my number having spammed people. Yet when I brought up to them that I was being harassed by an ex-boyfriend who has in the past created multiple phone numbers, spoofed my number among other numbers and been criminally prosecuted for harassing me and others. He currently has charges pending in SC related to telephonic harassment. He could have easily spoofed my number again and created multiple new numbers to report my number as spam so that I would have to deal with this nonsense! I asked if they have a human, a programmer of sorts, who can look into the actual numbers who reported me as spam and to allow me to know my accusers, or even to look into the matter to see where I did not actually ever spam anyone. Apple has restricted my communication even through SMS which is rudimentary text messaging. How can they have the ability to do that? They told me the only way to be able to receive messages from people would be me having to change my number. Do you know the time that will be used sorting all my profiles and updating that info in the event I forget a password? This is truly ridiculous and Apple literally has no humans to correct this gross error, they are facilitating my exes harassment of me, even if by proxy. They should not allow this.
