It’s getting worse not better
I have this wallet now for several years - many updates but nothing visibly becomes better in fact it’s getting worse.
You used to be able to connect it to your bank account and that’s no longer possible. You used to be able to get a routing and checking number so you could use it like a checking account and that’s also not possible anymore. Then it started to have problems with my credit card and not accepting the card anymore. Tech service wasn’t able to help me and wanted me to just not use that card anymore. Then chat function stopped working for me and now after the latest update the whole app won’t even start anymore. So service and usability both got worse not better. I can’t recommend this wallet any longer.

Not good
Not good - constantly issues with reliability. Portfolio and crypto view gets stuck. Can’t use app support through the app because screen stays black. Won’t accept my debit card anymore either. It seems to get more buggy and not less.
App is very difficult to use.
Short Review: app is useless.
Long Review: I use other exchanges without any problem, MetalPay is difficult. I’ve tried to link different bank cards and it never works. I decided I’ll skip the bank cards link up and send some stable coins from another wallet. MetalPay will not create a receive address for any of the stable coins that are listed on MetalPay. I did find that MetalPay would create a receive address for Doge so, I transferred a small amount of Doge and that worked. Now I want to swap that Doge for some Metal but guess what, I do not have a swap option when I’m in the Doge wallet. I can go into the metal wallet and select buy but the app doesn’t give me an option to pay with Doge. So, I cannot deposit dollars, I cannot deposit stable coins, I can deposit only a few crypto’s like Doge but then cannot trade them for what I wanted to begin with.
I did contact customer help and they seemed to be stuck in the mindset about me trying to get my bank card connected to MetalPay. I informed them I’ve given up on linking a bank account and that I would just directly send crypto to my MetalPay wallet which would require no bank account link up. I asked why my MetalPay wallet would not create a receive address for stable coins and the answers always came back about trying to troubleshoot the bank cards not linking up even after saying I don’t need the bank account link up anymore.
What was the point of this app again besides headaches?

Bad customer support
The app sucks they have ghost as support don’t use they hold your money and take decades to recover they have no phone number support you will be dealing with a ghost
App doesn’t open
The app won’t stop buffering and I can’t get into it at all.

Incredible customer service
I don’t believe I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with such an amazing customer support team. The app is flawless.
Email verification won’t send
I’ve tried creating an account on here and it gets to the email verification part and I wait for hours with no email sent
App won’t load up. Gets stuck on loading screen.
I created my Metal Pay account to get some exposure to XPR. I put some money into it and was just going to hold for a while. Months later I decided I wanted to rotate it into Hbar. A digital asset I already owned that I wanted a o allocate more capital into during a dip. I went to get on Metal Pay and it won’t get past the load screen with the spinning circle. Supposedly everything is working fine for their app except mine. Worked fine 3-4 months prior.

Keyboard blocks account set up
There is no way to set up the account as the keyboard for entering password and login blocs the account set up button. There is no way around this.
App doesn’t work
I downloaded this app and can’t even get past the setup I’ve been trying for a few days and still nothing.
Scammers
I opened this acc years ago never used it, so on one faithful morning I told my wife to send me $800 worth of bitcoin from her Coinbase to this useless app, she did the funds came in asap, left it there next day I went to try to send out just $200 of that money back to my wife’s coin base and this idiots logged me out, lol first the asked me to write a note and take a picture with it, with any form of IDENTIFICATION and I did and all this while going on more than 2years now this happened and this idiots froze my account and kept my money, don’t waste your time dealing with this scammers

Keeps getting stuck
The app keeps getting stuck in the open cycle and won’t fully open it verifies my Face ID and then sit there and go to the spin Very frustrating….. when it actually opens It’s a great app!
