Garbage

The constant popups. Slow and laggy.

Absolute Trash

Once again, after an update, the ability to search for and locate my files is completely broken. It either returns nothing or produces wildly skewed results that have nothing to do with the title or contents of the file.
This should be a no brainer for any competent programming team, yet making a basic feature that any cloud storage service should have seems to be beyond MS current capabilities.
My best advice: Stop handing AI the keys to the kingdom and let actual human beings code your apps.

Can’t view files

Why can I no longer view files in OneDrive? I don’t want to fill up my phone with a ton of apps just to fluff up Microsoft’s download stats. Fix your app!

Sync and search not working

I like onedrive and the sync but I have been focusing today on why I can never find anything. The search is not finding files or folders which are there. I have 5 files in 1 folder which is 2 levels down in the structure. The 5 files have the same name except for a number at then end. I can search and find 03,04, and 05 but can’t get 01 and 02 to show up in the search results. If I walk through the folder structure then I see all 5 files. 01 and 02 were last updated in Feb 2026 so it is not like they are new and the search crawl hasn’t found them yet. The same search in a browser on my windows laptop works correctly, returning 18 files and 1 folder but the search on iPhone and iPad doesn’t work correctly and returns only 3 files in total and 0 folders. Please fix this issue. It’s pointless having a search box if it doesn’t work.

OneDrive does not play well with Apple files

I give OneDrive a one star because it’s next to impossible to sync my Apple files with it

Horrible

Ridiculously hard to use, did make me crash out. Back and forth constantly, ended up switching to Dropbox.

Not user friendly

Popups appear over the app buttons and don’t disappear until you tap on them. Very inconveniencing. Unable to swipe them away. Why cant the photo button stay and you don’t have to tap 3 different options to take more than two continuous scan photos. It makes no sense.

No way to force sync

Looking for a way to force a sync on your iPhone after you just made a new folder on your desktop with shiny new files inside? Good luck! It does navigate reasonably well even if the UI has some quality of life features/lack of. But if you can’t ask your cloud storage to go check for new files you just made, it’s not that good at its job. I don’t need last week’s files I need this week’s files.

Sync caching fault

This is almost unreliable

Good but iOS version is clunky as

Basic functionality is there, but files often don’t sync when i save it on IOS and open it on my work windows computer. Surely cut a deal with Microsoft and fix this. Tech has come so far.

Word documents

Won’t let the document fit to my screen so I can’t see the whole thing. I can zoom in, but not out.

Awful app

You can only delete 20 photos at a time… please up this to 2000 at a time thanks.

So predatory

This app tries to immediately upload my whole desktop into OneDrive, instantly filling up my storage and there is no clear setting to turn this off. Now it wants me to pay for more storage even tho I don’t want my whole damn pc backed up, just certain files. Now I have to clear my one drive, which they have no easy option for.

Old app better

This new app trying to look fancy does not allow you to track what is being uploaded. The older versions of the app was more transparent on what was going into the cloud, especially photos.

Poor searching and constantly closing

I want to search within a folder, not within the entire universe of file saved. Some updates the search feature works. This one very much does not.

Plus every time I flip to a different screen to look at an incoming text message or something like that, when I go back to OneDrive, it has closed the file I had open and I have to start over at the main explorer page.

Vault unusable

Constantly asking to “Start using vault…” and than shows only folders but doesn’t load any other items.. Second month now.

Faulty

Not a single file shows up on the app unless I make it "available offline". The problem is im not offline. Im very much online and still not a single file shows up. If i want to access something on my phone I have to go into a web browser and log into my onedrive that way to see my files. The app used to work great, why mess with a good thing.

So confusing and annoying

It used to be a different app and then I had to switch to this one and it’s so horrible I hate it. Genuinely so confusing, doesn’t let me take multiple photos in a file randomly, when I save the photos they just disappear and I can’t find them so annoying

wrong language in the update

The App Store update ALSAYS display non-English languages. Can Microsoft change it back to English?

The new “Navigation” function is terrible!

I have used OneDrive for years, and it was great. I could have Word and OneDrive open at the same time and search one while working on something in the other app. But the 2026 “update” to OneDrive is terrible! When I am in a Word doc on OneDrive, I cannot see any of the footnotes. I have to open up the doc in word (but I am already working on a different doc!) to see if the footnote has the info I am looking for. Also, the search function is erratic: I search for a word (in a Word doc in OneDrive), and I cannot get the cursor to navigate down to the word so that I can copy and paste it if necessary. (It is helpful to see the word in context but that is useless if I cannot navigate to the word to copy and paste the phrase…)
