The app is beautiful, now it’s time to add a dark mode, please.

Seemed to work well then my unit died. It took me 6 months to get a replacement unit which came without a filter or the right power cord. Now it won’t pair with the app. Very expensive for something that has so many issues
Disappointed
Attractive design and features, but disappointing in quality. Well, it seems to be well built, I’ve had three in a row become very noisy, like the bearings are going out on the motor.

Rattling

Love the actual device and filters. The app is half baked and does not pair to your Mila easily. Customer for 3 years. Just emailed support.

Became too loud to use after a few months, replacing the filter didn’t fix the issue, too expensive and time consuming to provide any benefits

Unit died after 5 years
As the title states, our Mila died after using it for only 5 years, without warning. Contacted the company and they told us there’s no way to fix it or troubleshoot it. They gave us a 20% off coupon to purchase another one. We didn’t. It’s too bad they can’t refurbish it. Seems like a waste of resources/materials.

App great. Physical product rubbish.
I invested in five of these air purifiers a couple of years ago. The app is absolutely fantastic - best I’ve seen. HOWEVER, the actual products are now infamous for dreadful reliability. All of mine have failed in one way or another. For the price, it’s an absolute disgrace. American engineering for you, I suppose. Look elsewhere. I’ve gone to a UK brand, which also has cheaper/ less wasteful filters.

So loud and unpleasant!
My Mila air purifier wasn’t cheap and now it’s so loud it’s unbearable.
By far the best, if I had more rooms, I’d have more units!
Not sure why you’d look elsewhere, but I have had (and regretfully still do) other “premium” air filters and Mila air filters blow them away for a number of reasons. Starting from the top, and rare these days, customer service. They recognize brand loyalty. It’s been years and they still care for my needs for all four (yes four) of the devices we have on our home. As for quality, we’ve gone through massive wildfire smoke issues, horrible AQIs, post home construction, you name it, and these Milas made all of those experiences much better than anyone else we’ve known. I cannot praise this company and their units (including their app) any higher…if they made other types of household goods, I’d trust them just as much (and would go broke investing in them).

Mila advertises their air purifiers as "smart," but my experience so far has me questioning. In the app, there are conflicting air change values. For example, in one section it will show 9 air changes per hour at the current fan speed, and in another section it will show 3.2 air changes per hour at the same fan speed; neither of these values matches the value shown on the purifier’s display. Additionally, sometimes the air purifier does not respond to the fan speed adjustments made in the app. Overall, a very unreliable app for a purported smart device.
*UPDATE: Contacted Mila’s support; they were not helpful. They were already aware of the issue, but they have not fixed or resolved it—I’ll update this review if/when they resolve the app issues.

Since day one it’s been too loud it’s temperamental and it does its own thing ! I hate it and I dislike that you’ve done nothing to fix it
Cannot get it to turn on with recent update
Cannot get it to turn on with recent update (12/21/25) obvious strong odor nearby, device isn’t activating. Even when switched to manual. Uninstalled and reinstalled app and filters. It’s a brick. (03/21/26) still have not been able to turn on this year. It’s been 4+ months since it’s turned on and circulated the air.

It was perfect
Before last update this was great… now with the new way your purifiers work I’ll never buy one more again.
Such a mess
Multiple issues 1/ Around the end of 2025 a major change was made to introduce power profiles. It used to be perfect before, minimal airflow but silent. Now the lowest profile just turns off the Mila fan most of the time, and the next most quiet setting is louder than before. So I cannot use the automatic anymore, instead I have to set it to 10% manual mode, and manually having to switch between modes as needed. 2/ the Mila units around my house (I have 4) often lose connection and require a hard restart 3/ location air quality alerts keep being sent to my phone even though I turned off these alerts, so I keep getting useless ozone alerts every day 4/ the location in the app cannot be specified by zip, only through gps.

New update is horrible
Why did you change what worked perfectly fine. The new firmware and app updates are horrible. The Mila runs way too loud and now it doesn’t even count the air changes per day anymore. It’s stuck at 0/60. I have 2 Milas and they both have the same issue.
