Great service, broken app
Glad this app exists, but there seems to be a serious issue with it. Looking through issues reported by other citizens in the app, so many of them are riddled with crazy typos. It wasn’t until I submitted my own stoplight issue that I realized the typos were caused by the app itself. The text I carefully reviewed and posted differed wildly from what was shown after submission. It seems to ignore certain modifications and autocomplete selections.
For example, if I start typing “Xer” and choose the “Xerxes” autocomplete option, the text input box will correctly show “Xerxes”, but after publishing, it shows something like “Xerave”, mashing together the pre-autocomplete text with the next word I typed. I imagine this is very difficult for city staff to make sense of.

Redundant form questions
I would love to love this app, but the submission form is annoying to use with redundant fields and far too many required fields.
There are two description text fields in addition to a “select an answer” sheet with prefilled options. Condensed this to one.
I have to place a pin on the map to get to the form, why do you then ask for an intersection? I already gave you that info. You can probably pull it from an attached photo too.
Why do you not use the date and time selector for those fields? Typing that from the standard keyboard is a lot harder than using the controls that were specifically made for date and time selection.

Tell friends, family, and neighbors.
Grateful for the non emergency service.

Completely useless
Good for absolutely nothing. App is trash pretty much impossible to get or report any information or issues. Pretty much what I expect from this city.
Can’t close issue
I keep getting emails on a grass not mowed issue, it’s winter now, but I can’t close the issue!!!
No longer works
This app doesn’t seem to be supported anymore? I can’t perform any action. I can’t sign in, I can’t register, when I go to report an issue it will say “cannot load categories”. Unfortunate as it seems like it used to be a very helpful app.
WORST APP EVER
They literally don’t do ANYTHING about any mess, disruptions or anything that should be handled by the city. Have absolutely no idea why they would have an app to do nothing about anything. You can report whatever you want but nothing will happen. They say it’s been “noted as a claim” then will just be taken off in a week. POINTLESS APP.

Doesn’t work???
It seems like the first tab “places” links you to different things like “city web” and “street sweep” etc, so why when I click any of them they don’t work????? Nothing happens. The rest of the stuff, like “notices” works.
Loser
This app will not load. Do you expect users to have wifi at all times? If so, make it free to all within city limits. Frustrating.
Impossible to Delete Account
The app is basic, making anything you're reporting a chore. Couple that with a lazy, uninterested city and you've got yourself a near worthless app.
Worse part: there is no way to delete your account. The company behind this app only “deactivates” and explicitly details on their website that they will “continue to make publicly available all user-provided content indefinitely to their partners and third parties.” So there’s that for you. Thanks Minneapolis for keep an eye on citizens once again.

Needs work
The app itself is fine, but the city isn’t always responsive. I understand they’re overwhelmed with winter parking/snow emergency reports right now, but it seems like they ignore many critical safety violations people report, at least in my neighborhood. Almost makes reporting feel pointless because the issues will often go unresolved.

Great Idea, Needs Improvements
Transparency, accessibility, and communication—these are all qualities of a responsive and accountable government that could become a reality with an improved version of this app. I for one volunteer to be part of a focus group to give feedback. Fixing the GPS, report questionnaire, connectivity for report submissions, and follow up from representatives could make this app a best practice worthy of replication in other cities.

Just use the SeeClickFix app
This Minneapolis 311 app is just a flawed front end to the real app. With SeeClickFix, registration was easy and I logged my first report this morning with no issues.. and the patrol came and took care of the issue quick! SeeClickFix has been flawless thus far.
Good in theory
But the app doesn’t work at all
Connection problems
Often this app won’t submit reports, saying there is no connection. I have Cellular Data enabled and my home wireless network is working fine in other apps. Very annoying.
Waste of time
Don’t bother downloading the app - any email you get as a follow up will link back to the website anyway and there’s no way to navigate through the app without those links
Needs work
App used to work fine now I get a connection error message when trying to submit issues - have to delete and reinstall app all the time to resolve it.
I. Can't. Even. Register.
I have no idea if this is a good app or not, because it won't let me register. I complete information & it just goes right back to the registration screen.
