I stopped by MN on a trip and bought lottery tickets. I downloaded the app to check them. Turns out i have to register and give my personal information, including my address just to scan a ticket. They could have excluded that function from requiring registration as I don’t need to give my address if I check my tickets at the store. Bad experience with the app and bad experience with MN lottery overall.
And please don’t tell me I need to register or need my address because of second chance drawings. I don’t want that. Like the multitudes of other people in the reviews, I just want to scan the ticket.
Please don’t even bother explaining the second chance opportunities.

Can’t even log in
For some reason app logged me out. I can’t log back in. I even tried creating a new account. Hope they fix it.
Fails frequently
Does not work consistently. Keeps requiring new sign-in. Not reliable.
Works like someone’s school project
There’s so many bugs in this app I don’t even know where to begin. Right now the camera doesn’t work even after giving permission. My mom got locked out of scanning tickets for no known reason at all. I got locked out because they didn’t recognize my (correct) password so I had to make another account. Then they didn’t recognize that password either so I had to change it before getting locked out again. Now I can’t even scan anything. Would be a great app if it worked. Also they should give notifications on second chance entries, whether you won or not. I never hear anything so I don’t know if I ever won and wasn’t told. I’d also like to throw away cards that expired. Fix your app. Seems like someone in government let their kid design the app, and not someone actually qualified for the job.

Lottery is a waste of money
Throwing money down the drain stop wasting your money and save they make millions you get pennies and there auto response is funny you know they don’t read your reviews! Because if they did read your reviews they would have fixed the problems already! Peace!

Long, bad registration process. Could be filed under “worst user experience” contests. Won’t even accept email addresses autofilled by a password management app.

Awesome Ticket Scanner
The ability to scan lotto and scratch tickets with my phone makes the whole lottery experience so much better! Getting to enter 2nd chance contests with the same ease is really nice too.
Worthless
Had a hell of a time signing in, kept telling me to enter a valid email which I did over and over until I finally logged in. Then went to scan tickets and it won’t scan. This app needs serious help.
Great app
I can’t believe all the horrible reviews on here. I’ve been using this app since day one and I’ve never ever had an issue with it. I love not having to go into a store to check my tickets, especially when I have a lot of Them. The best part is scanning the Second Chance tickets as they are a real pain in the butt with all the capital letters

Absolutely worthless
Would give zero stars if I could. Makes you put all your info in to create a login, logs you out to “confirm” then tells you it’s wrong. Do not waste your time
Embarrassing
Go through a long and clunky registration process(list of every city in MN that you have to scroll through) only to get an error message “registration failed. Please try again later”. Happened twice.
The Director and Board of the MN State Lottery should try to use their own app, then meet with the app team. Probably fail up and get promoted.

This app requires you to give blood and every bit of personal information just to scan and see if you want a few bucks.

Unable to use app for the last 6 months. Every ticket I use says “you’ve caught us during maintenance” useless app
Horrible. Not worth the download
This app never scans tickets. Difficult to log in every time. When you load your saved username from passwords app, it doesn’t recognize that you entered a password so you have to type another character and delete it. Must have been created by the state because only government could create such a simple app so badly.

Couldn’t even register
I tried to register and I got the email verification. And when I tried to sign in after hitting the verify email button, it said that I needed to enter a valid email. Worst app I’ve ever seen.

Just wanted to scan a ticket but after going through a complete sign up process to create an account…. Again just looking to scan a ticket, I do all that nonsense and then it won’t scan the ticket. And no I’m not calling a number to see about fixing it. I just wanted to scan my ticket…

Big disappointment.
If I could give less than one star I would. First off the app never stays logged in, but more importantly why would you even require someone to create and account just so they can use the feature of scanning a ticket to see if it’s a winner. With a recent software update, the scanning ticket feature doesn’t even work. It’s literally the only reason I even use the app. This has been such a disappointment.
