Genuinely great gacha but…
The very long:
I wish I could give this 5 stars. It’s a great game with amazing art direction, writing, and isn’t afraid to explore mature themes, given the Lovecraftian nature of the world.
And everything you need to deep dive into the world is in the game itself. A whole library of terms, stories, and radio dramas can be easily viewed within the game.
The gacha itself is pretty generous. To fully unlock a character’s potential might take a lot of duplicate draws but to get the characters themselves, you get plenty of resources to do so.
I only wish the game didn’t crash on iOS like it had a DUI quota. On the plus side, the game is very proactive about saving where you are so a crash loses you no progress. But when I’m going back to the iPhone home screen literally once every chapter or 3 times in a long boss fight, it becomes a very frustrating experience.
Using the fix button on the login screen also did not help the problem. I truly love this game, but I love it a lot more on PC.

A critically underrated gem.
This game is hard as nails. It has countless grotesque, terrifying, Lovecraftian scenes. The number of people who beat the story’s hard mode is in the double digits. It will grind you up to dust and spit you out.
Yet, I keep coming back to it like a drug.
It’s a card battler that plays a lot like Slay the Spire. It has a steampunk aesthetic. So why is it so addictive?
It’s simple- it’s a roguelite that you have endless variety with, with so many bosses and lovely gimmicks. When you have a boss standing over you with over a thousand health and an attack that can one-shot you, you only have one option- see what you can do to get out of this.
If you want a hidden gem that’s so satisfying to play, Morimens won’t disappoint.

2 month player: gacha discussion
Someone said it was locked behind a paywall. Which the OTHER 250 pulls are, not this set of 250.
I now have 5 functional teams after two months.
I still have zero clue why someone said 500 bucks for an event?? 😭 I’m being so fr where in the Milky Way is this event??
Warning because this is where the game boils down to personal preference.
EVERY. SINGLE. Character. is capable of being good. Someone is labeled B tier? That means the character is GREAT. But you must have a foggy idea of what kind of dps you want to build around. Banners are unpredictable because they tend to be gone for a few months, so you are limited to several dps upon starting, such as great standard characters or dps in reruns.
You MUST use your brain. Chaos Zero Nightmare is easier. Here, I was already thinking on the tutorial. Auto battle is genuinely stupid- it just plays all of your cards in no order brainlessly. This is why I’ve stuck with the game though. Autoing stuff always kills my love for beautiful games.
Great art, but no animations. Understandable since this game doesn’t have many funds.
There is a single gooner character (and she has a gooner equipment card 😭) but it doesn’t distract from the atmosphere at all imo. Also more male characters than certain games…
Problem is there’s a PvP/tcg thing. I despise PvP AND tcg so great combo there, I will be forever missing out on the 150 pulls. Why did they have to make that one part of the game actually contain noticeable materials…

Any Plans for a macOS Version?
I’ve noticed that some games developed exclusively for iPhone and iPad can still be installed and run on Macs, but it seems that this game isn’t available that way. Is there a particular reason for that?
