Marvellous app!
Thing I miss is a share sheet widget to be able to select a word in other app and find it in this app, like yandex translate allows you to do. Share word(s) to moti.

Search function
Please improve on the search function within this app, it functions well however the problem is it gives the wrong suggestions, for example once I search up “yellow” in English it will show “lâche” (which means cowardly or loose) instead of “jaune” first
Beyond compare
There is nothing like this app and is something I use everyday (Scandinavian languages). Love it.
Great app, missing feature
Amazing app, but can’t be used to explore only to search. If I attempt scrolling too fast it crashes. I can’t scroll past the first few sub letters

Thanks for the feedback. The app doesn't crash, it just stops scrolling. Right now there's a limit of 1000 entries, to avoid memory problems. Perhaps this needs a separate explore feature, not a search.

The best dictionary

I am currently learning Polish and the ability to import and read texts in Motî is indispensable. Having a massive offline English dictionary is also handy in and of itself. I hope it keeps getting better and I can’t wait for the Japanese dictionary to be added!

Motî is simply the best dictionary app - cleanly presented and works beautifully. Offline dictionaries and etymologies are exactly what I need for language learning. Please add Estonian!

If you are looking for a good Wikitonary interface so you don’t need to keep going to the mobile version of the site, then I think you will find this app is exactly what you are looking for. I had been looking for something like this for awhile, and someone recommended this to me. Super thankful to have found it. The developer also has been super friendly the times I’ve sent feedback.
If you a learning a language with a lot of inflictions, such as Finnish, the one thing about the app is that it doesn’t have infliction tables loaded in (at least for Finnish). The developer told me they are working on a way to incorporate them, but that it’s a challenge because of just how many there are. Regardless, I still absolutely highly recommend the app, just know you will still have to keep a wikitonary page open in your browser for when you can’t remember how to inflict something (for now).

Best Dictionary App on the App Store.
For starters, I downloaded this app after being sent here from the link on Wikitionary for apps that use the site. The reason for this being that I tried, and failed, to find any dictionary app on the App Store that wasn’t riddled with ads. Thus, I searched for a Wikitionary app, and found this. It’s quite good! I like being able to search up a word in a language I’m learning (like Latin or Italian) and find it instantly, all in an app! I’d definitely recommend this app to any other fellow language enthusiasts, it makes things a lot more convenient. That said, I do have a few feature suggestions:
1. When searching for words, I think it’d be good to have a way to filter them. Like, say I wanted to only find nouns, I could filter it so that the only words I see are nouns. Same thing for verbs. Though, if I’ve simply overlooked this feature, feel free to ignore this suggestion.
2. I believe I’ve seen someone else suggest this, so if it’s already there then feel free to ignore this as well, but it’d be really useful to save these words to a favorites list of sorts, maybe even have the ability to make multiple lists. That way I could find, say, the most used Italian nouns and add them to a list dedicated to Italian nouns and memorize them easier.
3. Finally, I think it’d be pretty neat to have a language suggestion feature. Using myself as an example, I noticed that there wasn’t a Biblical Hebrew dictionary, nor an Aramaic dictionary, both of which are languages that I’m learning. It’d be helpful to have such a thing, as if someone is learning a language that doesn’t have a dictionary on this app (like, say, Proto-Indo-European or something), it’d be good for them to be able to suggest their language, and potentially have it added!
All that said, I wish you the best and hope you consider some of these features! I’ll definitely be using this app frequently!

Thanks! The list feature has been requested a number of times and will get added eventually, and the advanced search options is something I've been thinking about as well. It's a bit tricky to do without complicating the UI, though.
Very useful offline dictionary
I use this app for learning French - especially when it comes to slang words not included in my dictionaries.
Easy to use & navigate through, though it would be nice to have the option to organise search results alphabetically.
For example, when I search for the common verb ‘faire’, hundreds of phrases with ‘faire’ will show up. But the entry for the word itself will be buried underneath forty or fifty of these phrases instead of being at the top of the page.
Thank you for creating such a good application, it meets all my needs!

There is a bug after updating
Used to be super good, but the most recent update made the app collapse when try to read the word origin by pressing the green triangle. I hope this could be fixed in the next updates

Speedy, with great typography. Usually better more pleasant than using the Wiktionary site. But it would be better to have the target language dictionary in itself (e.g. french dictionary in french) in addition to the target language to english dictionary.
(Maybe this exists if I switch the OS language, but even in app settings there isn’t a way to set the app language. Anyway it would be best to support both)

Also, it would be better if the “Search in” sheet -> Wiktionary option took into account the currently selected language, instead of always going to “en”.

put back our original language stop corrupting them
i been noticing for while now you been corrupting our language by changing words when its false information get your update right you will lose your true support in future

Perfect dictionary
Perfect app for dictionary collection. Very smooth and minimalistic.
I wish it had user tags and more ways to sort words. And a dedicated button for importing text.
