Contract renews even services are no longer needed sent 30 emails to cancel services two year straight till this day still getting charged for service no longer have
Awful customer service
I’ve been with motive for 5 years…. Each year constant growth. This year, I was forced to restructure. I had asked motive for a temporary assistance. According to motive, they value a contract more than a long term customer. That should tell you who you’re dealing with. Shameful.
Hard break
Said I did a hard break would it have been better to run the light? Garbage camera and app
Terrible support
They sent the wrong wires for my ELD and waited a week to get someone to just send it out (still waiting). Nobody seems to know what they’re doing and I don’t understand why they can’t send another wires and I’ll send the other one back. I paid $600 for the year and it’s already starting on a bad foot.

Glitchy
Has more glitches then an antique Christmas lights. Constantly doesn't recognize your password. I could go on and on 👎
No notifications
I have all notifications set to receive but doesn’t get any notifications at all about anything. This app needs a serious update to where notifications are able to be sent. I have checked my phone notifications settings and still don’t get any notifications if my drivers are close to being out of hours or anything about safety. Also it’s slow on showing current drivers that are logged into the tractors. Needs an update immediately

Too many technical issues and awful management/customer service
This App does not provide visibility or alerts for speeding events. Since our Speeding Detection Settings were configured correctly and no speeding events appeared in the App, we reasonably assumed no such events were occurring. We weren’t aware Motive system has so many technical issues and limitations preventing speeding events from appearing in the Safety section of the App.
The facts clearly demonstrate ongoing Motive technical issues, lack of system visibility, and miscommunication. Our company suffered harm and penalties Motive failures. All while Motive avoiding to take responsibility or even willing to address or resolve their issues promptly, accurately, and transparently.

I don’t like motive
Motive devices are being used by company owners to force drivers to operate for more than 14 hours, and then they edit the logs. I sent a letter to the FMCSA including a screenshot of my unedited log and the version that the company altered and signed on my behalf. This company is part of the harmful practices in the market; their only interest is collecting money regardless of anything else, and they do not help the system identify or report fraudulent or corrupt operations.

Just started a massive contract with motive. 20+ units with camera. Sales rep promised me the world. Seemed to have an answer for everything. After signup support become non existent. Communication stopped. Problems arose and no one not even the original sales rep can respond. If looking for a camera for a small fleet might be okay but for anything of size orif you need motive for contract related needs I’d strongly advise you to look elsewhere for now until motive can actually provide some decent customer service. Completle bait and switch. False advertising. Terrible product with so many flaws. Samsara is better!

Worst experience of my life, never again!
Ruthless!!
I was recently on a contract with motive using their ELD and camera package. I was involved in a pretty serious six truck accident where I have multiple broken bones. I only have one truck so the company was temporarily shut down while I healed. I paid the monthly bill the first couple of months, but tried to explain to motive that I was unable to make the payments as my business just started, and I’m unable to work. After explaining that’s a little bit of money that I had was all that I had for food in my home bills and even had money sent from family. They continue to take the payment out. I understand that I had a contract, but at some point, you have to have a heart and I know that there’s no heart in business however two or three months of service when it’s not even being used it’s not that much to you guys, however, it meant the world to me. Technically I guess they did nothing wrong. I just expected a little bit of compassion. I would never use this company again and I advise anyone reading this not to also.

I have been using Motive since I have had 3 trucks, and now I have over 60 semi trucks and Motive is excellent for managing my fleet. It is a must have if you have more than few trucks. It pays for itself with what it provides in my opinion
It doesn’t refresh
I have to refresh each time I open the app. Very inconvenient. Please try to fix, so it update on the background automatically
Places drivers in violations.
App constantly puts drivers in violations. The device takes too long to send unidentified drives to mobile phone. He can’t damage your CSA record if your drivers don’t have much experience and don’t know how to keep track of their own hours. I called Customer Service to complain about an adverse driving condition. I used the place me in violation when I shouldn’t be in Customer Service doesn’t know anything about regulations. Overpriced.
