Subscription service is glitchy
The subscription service often doesn’t do what you are paying for. The handheld monitor stopped working and now can only view through the app, so it’s not useful for family or babysitters, only me. It’s hard to connect to wifi network, and the glowing red light to indicate it’s on is so bright when lights are off, we had to use black electrical tape to hide it. Would never recommend device.

Used free for years, now all the sudden my camera is bricked until I give them more money.
Data collection
You can not opt of data collection. Or even change data collecting options in the app. Understand that this means they are collecting whatever they want, without allowing you to opt out. So they have a whole live feed of your child and you’ve been secretly allowing it to happen and they’re sharing it with whoever they want. But ‘trust them, it’s protected.’ If they make it impossible for you to opt out are they looking for your best interest really? I’m angry I’ve used this for the past four years..

There are better baby monitors
Camera live view and recordings only works if you pay for their membership. Any time you try to view with no membership it shows theirs a connection error. Once I pay for a membership all of a sudden the connection is fine but it still doesn’t do proper motion detection
NOT SAFE
I have to delete and reinstall the app every week because the app will stop working. This has happened with multiple phones. Just now it told me my son’s room was 71*, we woke up screaming, crying and sweating. I deleted and reinstall the app. It now says it’s 83* in his. This is extremely unsafe.

Is there a way to report this app and company for fraud?!?
We had their previous app for the longest time. It worked wonderfully, all the time, from anywhere, never once had an issue! Then they roll out this one… and forced users to switch… it works maybe, MAYBE, 5% of the time, if that. The live feed almost never works, the motion captures do not load… if I went over what all did not work in this app I would be here forever. Stay away.

Over the last couple of months, the app CONSTANTLY stops working. The message that comes even says that it is on the companies end. I’m so over it. I regret purchasing the monitor that goes with this app. I tell family and friends to avoid it.

I cannot believe they are charging !! I can’t even just use it as a camera !! I cannot believe something I paid for just for the camera wants to charge for something I already paid for when I bought the camera !! I will never buy another Motorola device again ! What a rip off !

We bought the camera and it is supposed to be free viewing. Now 2 years later they hold it hostage until we pay.

I purchased this baby monitor because it had the handheld monitor and also the ability for WiFi. I even had this monitor and it stopped working after a few years and I liked it so much I bought the same one. This was how it had been for years. At this point in our life we do not have the constant need for the WiFi option but it is nice to have when needed, but now they took that option away and are requiring me to pay to view the livestream that had always been free before. This is not what I signed up for or purchased.

Bait and Switch!
I’ve had this monitor for years and now they want to take away features unless you pay a new fee?! I’ve already paid my money. It’s a breach of the original terms. This could also lead to a lawsuit. What if someone can’t afford it and because they didn’t pay or were unaware of the fee, they were unable to properly monitor their child, resulting in some sort of incident? Goddess forbid anything happens to a baby that could have been prevented if only the device was working as it was before. I’ll trash this device before I pay an extortion fee. If this goes into effect 7/19, I’ll have a new monitor on the way next week. You want more money? Do what every other app developer does and add premium features. Don’t charge for the only literal thing this device is used for. It’s like charging someone who bought a fork to use the tines.

The app always has issues where i have to completely delete and redownload, log back in and add my cameras again. Features disappear and don’t work correct. Do not recommend this app or the associated cameras.
