Horrible don’t download

I just don’t understand why I have to pay. The point of the app it to get off the phone but why do we have to pay for an app that helps people. Just horrible. Don’t download.

Add New Features

Overall, I like the app. It’s helped some with screen time, and I like that they added the minutes earned feature cuz that keeps me from unblocking all the apps & getting sucked back in. I’d like to suggest an option where we customize a list of apps to block instead of just categories. For example, every day I go into “social” and select individual apps cuz I can’t select the whole category cuz that’d include text & FaceTime. If I can just create a list of the apps I want to stay off of all day, that’d be way more efficient. Also, I’d love an option where the block kicks on automatically at a certain time. I scroll late & wake up & scroll. If my selected apps automatically locked at 6am, then I’d stop wasting my mornings scrolling. Until then, I’ll try discipline to lock my apps before bed.

Bug

The new update doesn’t work. It began with me havinging unlock apps for a set time (ex. 15 mins) and it will lock before that set time (ex. 5 mins). And now it won’t let me unlock my apps at all. Considering I pay for that app I don’t expect things like this to happen. I’m spending money on an application that isn’t working.

Hidden pay to use

Makes you fill out a bunch of questions before asking if you want to pay them monthly or yearly to use their app.

Overcharged

Signed up for the $14 plan for the month. Was charged $43! Have contacted the developer and Apple and PayPal and I’m expecting a refund. Absolutely disgraceful and false advertising.

Paid Only

Wish there was a free version even to lock one app. Love the idea but who can afford this kind of thing nowadays

Stopped working

Honestly for having to pay this app is super disappointing, it literally stopped working I forgot about the app, no matter how many times I undo the block apps and redo it, it doesn’t work, again for an app that makes you pay to use it I would think they’d have more features as well or different goals you can put for different apps, it’s just not what I thought it would be

DO NOT INSTALL

This app uses Screen Time in a way that can permanently disable app deletion on iPhone. After installing it, my phone stopped allowing apps to be deleted (only “Remove from Home Screen”).
There is no easy fix. Apple’s only solution is a full reset without restoring backups. This is a serious system level issue and users are NOT properly warned. Do not install!!!!!!!!

Waste of money

Doesn’t keep track of steps on a treadmill waste of money don’t buy app

I LOVE THE APP

For me is “killing 2 birds one stone,” I reduce my screen time plus getting my steps

Great idea. Doesn’t work.

It’s so easy to unblock apps that it’s effectively useless.

Inaccurate step count

Great concept, however it fails to record about 10% of my actual steps. My fitness app and my health app are in sync. For some reason, the Move to Scroll app is not in sync with them even though I granted permission during set up. It's frustrating knowing that I've walked 10k steps and my apps still being locked unless I hit 100-200 more. It's not the hugest deal to have to walk more..but that's the entire point of the app.

Just make the app itself cost money

Stop blocking all features behind a paywall. Just make the app cost money to download. It’s very frustrating to download an app and spend time setting it up just to have it be unusable

Apps not blocked

You have to pay to use the app just for it to not work. It doesn’t block my apps.

Updated Review

My first review was in mid-October. As of 10/27, my issues have been resolved. It’s a good app, just not what I was looking for.

Earlier review: I tried this app and realized it wasn’t for me. I cancelled my free trial before the end date but was still charged. Tried to contact Move to Scroll through their website several times but the contact form does not go through.

can’t delete

I now can’t uninstall this stupid app I’m trying to find a way to delete it but it won’t let me I wish I could give a zero out of five but I can’t 🙄

Great in concept

Great in concept, poor in execution. The app doesn’t automatically work, you have to open it first in the morning, and then it’ll begin to block apps. But from what I can tell, if you open something else first, that remains unblocked. So this definitely does not help with mindless scrolling.

Second, the app keeps freezing and requiring a force quit when I try to edit which apps to include.

Had potential, but please please please don’t spend money on it yet.

The one app that helped me

Social media has taken over my life and my time. This is the one app that helped me get my time back AND helped me to get more steps in every day!! I tried using Screen Time and App limits but I would just snooze them 15 min at a time. With “move to scroll” I am actually blocked until I hit a certain # of steps. Thank you to the app creators!!

Unfortunate

I should have listened to the reviews before I bought the year subscription because they're right. The app is super glitchy. It really only blocks all the apps I set 20% of the time. Other times it only blocks 10 apps that I set and I have to manually re-add the other 15 over again 5x a day. OR it doesn't block any apps at all. I saw they replied to reviews saying they fixed the issues but they are still very much there. There is also the added concern of how the subscription doesn't show up in my subscriptions tab on the app store app and there is no menu for my subscription in the actual app to cancel. I'm worried I will keep being charged for an app I don't even want anymore. I really do wish this app worked as it should because it would be a great concept, but it's just not good.

Good but easy to get out of

I wish there was no easy option for you to remove apps on the blocked list at any moment. Makes it easy to just turn it off so not really a point to the app.
Good concept though
