Impossible to get a response from support. Withdrawal disappeared and cant get support from a human, just AI telling me it understands its frustrating and they are working on it but no one is getting back to me after multiple business days.
FCA needs to investigate this app
Signed up today, completed full in-app verification, made deposits without issue. Then my final top-up of £426.22 via Apple Pay was charged to my card but never appeared in my balance. The app immediately “restricted” itself and the nightmare began.
Within minutes, support emailed demanding an absurd list of documents — including a “bank statement showing deposits into your MuchBetter account.” I opened the account today. That statement won’t exist for weeks. Either the support team doesn’t understand basic banking, or this is a deliberate stalling tactic.
At the same time, the app itself displayed a completely separate demand for ID, proof of address, and another selfie — sent to a different email entirely. Two parallel, uncoordinated document demands on top of the verification I’d already passed.
I complied with everything because they’re holding my money. They now have my passport, proof of address, multiple selfies holding ID and my bank card, and full bank details — handed over under duress. If you’ve read the Trustpilot reviews, you know exactly where this story usually ends.
Trustpilot is full of identical complaints — frozen accounts, blocked withdrawals after KYC, funds locked for months or years, unresponsive support. Some users report tens of thousands held indefinitely. This is a systemic pattern, not a glitch.
I’ve already taken legal advice and will be escalating to the FCA, the Financial Ombudsman Service, and the ICO if this isn’t resolved.

Total Scam. DON’T download
This app will charge you bank the money without ever putting it into your account. In other words theft. Then when you try to get help it’s only an AI bot and people who don’t speak English. It’s a complete scam. Never trust this app ever. It should in fact be removed for the App Store as they are committing fraud.
