Useless app

Makes me feel not to use TPG

Hard to use

Hard to log into and can’t report a fault unless there is a problem. App fails to load most of the time.

Genuinely trash

Who makes these apps? Who hires them? Why do such low quality apps even exist?

Worst App ever

Most of the time the app crashes, I can’t run any diagnostic test because it can’t detect my service.
I have contacted TPG repeatedly about this problem with no success.

VERY PRIMITIVE !

I absolutely hate, that I cannot pay w/ a new card. No even as a one off.

In the XXI I’m forced to delete old payment info and register new VISA card, all over again 😩
(I cannot imagine doing this every month).

There’s no ApplePay either!?

Surely you’d want the app up to date w/ current technology, like your adversaries’ apps, no?😉

poor app design

Very poor design, cannot log in to app

Network error

Keeps getting network error therefore unable to login?

I can’t even log in

I just joined tgp and the app won’t even log in. I mean, not really sure what i’m supposed to do here. Use the website everytime instead I guess. Not a great start so far if i’m honest.

Failed at the first hurdle

Sadly, I can't even log in, using identical credentials to the ones on the website - there is a zero percent chance of a typo, as it's the same Passwords record in use for both.

Score of 1 star is for the app.

----------
I've been a TPG customer now for close to 20 years (which is frightening...), with my ADSL connection, then a fibre to the building NBN hookup.

Over the years I e had very little cause for complaint. I think there have been three instances where I've needed to delve into the black morass that is the amusingly named "support" side of the business.

The most notable was probably 15 years ago - pre. TPG's purchase of Pipe Networks that gave them a major boost in back-end linkage and bandwidth. I struggled for close to a month back then to get a •human• to investigate ridiculously slow speeds - in the end they discovered an issue, reset or added a parameter at their end and life's been pretty good since then.

But, be prepared to stand your ground with each new human you speak with - every one of them will request you perform an "isolation test" before they do anything like inspect the settings at their end. My record was 6 or 7 people asking me for an iso test. I started refusing after the second and asked them to read (aloud) the whole contact history/notes on my support ticket. That fixed that delay tactic...

NBN connections means ISPs are pretty much identical in structure and function as "power companies" these days. They are just a billing and connection coordinator for internet connections, just the way that company X, Y, Z (or RedE, YellowE, and GreenE, if you like) are for electricity.

They can't perform a manual connection - they ah e to refer that back to your actual internet provider (or, power supply company.) They can't fix a fault in the physical line between you and the rest of the world. Just like your electricity biller refers your "downed power pole" call to the supply company, TPG passes your "oops, my neighbour cut down a tree and the branch fell on the overhead HFC cable" call to NBN.

If you're complaining here about TPG support - it's pointless. This app isn't written by TPG. It's written by an app specialist (or company) contracted by TPG to do just that one task.

The company writing this app doesn't care if your internet is down. They just want to know (or maybe they don't) if you have an issue with the app.

stupid app

worst app layout and design ever, maybe make your damn app work.

Terrible app

App constantly crashes when trying to lodge a fault with the nbn…

MFA Annoying

I shouldn’t have to complete MFA every time I open the app, it should be done once or at worst periodically.

Anytime I open the app to check data usage I have to get an SMS code just to login, why can’t it just be done once and stay logged in?

Also there’s no widgets for data use either.

Rubbish

Absolute Rubbish app!

Mobile app

Absolutely rubbish app

Webpage disguised as an app

Terrible. Some pages do not work, the entire app functions like a webpage from 2010 when sites weren’t designed for phones yet. I only downloaded it to try and cancel my sim I purchased as a trial, instead I have to phone them like it’s 1997. Even Optus allows you to disable auto recharge from the app. You guys want the country to take you seriously in 2026 when you fail to deliver the bare minimum standard of service. Good luck.

Hardly an App

By far, this has to be one of the worst examples of how to do a mobile app, although it doesn’t even deserve to be called an app. The sign-in experience is terrible that the keyboard has to manually be moved to see what’s been inputted. In 2026, how are we not on passkeys and biometric to login. And the interface once in is just the full website so you have to navigate around it by scrolling in all directions. As the owner of one of the 3 mobile operators in the country, do better! Spend money on the user experience. We deserve better!

Worst Mobile Provider App ever

As the title says. Always need to log in again when opening the app, with mandatory verification via SMS every single time. Stupid.

App sux

The app is useless … cannot input password because the field is not visible ie the field is hidden behind the keyboard. App does NOT shift up when keyboard is displayed. I’ve compared to Samsung which works
Very disappointed!

Not working

Cannot log in

If anyone thinking to shift in tpg, they gonna give you headaches please never ever try, customer care support is 00000%
