EARTHLINK COLLAPSING! CAN’T OPERATE THE BASICS OF AN EMAIL PLATFORM
I have been with EarthLink for over 30 years. I’d always been unhappy but too cumbersome to switch. But now every time I enter an address I get switched to my address book and can’t get out. I can no longer send an email or forward one. I am reloading the app. I have no confidence that it will be successful so I will probably have to cancel my account and open a new email elsewhere. I will probably lose hundreds of email addresses in thousands of storage emails. Not a happy camper. I don’t need this added burden at this time in my life! I’m very disappointed in EarthLink at this juncture!

Worst app ever!
I’m stuck with Earthlink because of a legacy account over 30 years old. Since EarthLink purchased my email address, I’m stuck paying their overinflated prices (for minimal email storage), each and every month. Yet, I complain to them constantly how bad their regular email service is. But this holds no candle to how bad their app is. Just trying to read my emails on my iPhone, the app incessantly freezes and closes out (non-stop). Forget about searching in the app. It freezes on each letter you type in. And the overall speed is on a 1-10 scale? Less than a 1! I spend more time waiting, buffering, or frozen, than I do actually using the app. Tech support is useless. They tell me to delete and reinstall the app. I would think after the 20th time - that isn’t the problem. If EarthLink would just give or sell me my email address, then I would dump them permanently!

App crashing for a couple weeks now
For 2 weeks, the app has been crashing/ closing a few seconds after I open it. I restarted my phone, I deleted and reinstalled my app, and my software is up to date. I’ve called tech support and they’re useless. I lead off with the issue then I tell them all I’ve done above because those are the first things they tell me to do, and then I should call them back. But since I’ve done all that, they escalate it which means the escalation team has to call me back. Then they call me back in the middle of the day while I’m seeing patients and when I call, they can just leave a message for the escalation team. Been playing phone tag for a week. Today they told me it’s an iPbone software problem but I said then why is the EarthLink app the only app crashing when I have hundreds? Of course they want to pass the Buck!
I’ve had EarthLink since May 2000. In retrospect I should have transferred to Gmail 20 years ago. The EarthLink interface is so archaic; looks like websites from 2000 when I started with it.

Response Time
Since the last iOS iPhone update, the response time using this app degraded considerably. It still works but navigating between folder is slower.
Would rate less than one star
Doesn’t work, completely useless and they aren’t fixing it (or they just have morons for programmers?). Just use the website, much less frustrating and does work!
App needs work
With EarthLink 24 years webmail has always been okay. App has not been the same always slow and keeps locking up. I have kept trying if but use webmail since it is more reliable.
Horrible customer service, bad app
I’ve just spent a miserable day dealing with EarthLink. During a chat I was left waiting for 20 minutes of radio silence for an agent with no acknowledgement. Then when the agent finally joined he tried to sell me products twice and did nothing to help solve my problem. Contacting an agent by phone was no better. And this primitive, outdated app is a great reflection of the poor quality of the company. 1 star only because I can’t give zero.

Log in issues
I am having issues with the app not accepting my password that I know is correct. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t. I would like to see this fixed.
Slow
So slow that sometimes I have to use another email provider. I’m at the point where I’m probably going to have to change email providers. It’ll take a bit since I’ve been using this email for over ten years but it’s not working. Even signing in on the web is difficult. I miss the days when companies took pride in the services they offered.

Does not mirror image iOS mailbox’s
Kind of clunky, stopped working freezes. Does not show what emails have been sent through iOS mailbox’s which is understandable but still if your an authorized customer logged in on their email server I would think you should be able to see identical email box’s using iOS or this app….
App doesn’t work after update
I am using an iPhone 16 pro max and the app downloaded from the App Store. When you switch to the suspect email folder the app freezes and you cannot do anything but close the app. This happens over and over again. The only way to read those email is to log in on the browser.
Would give 0 stars if possible
Horrible. Downloaded the app so I could quickly get to email instead of accessing it thru macmail. Always was marginal but now Feb 2025 does not access at all. The last update was 4 days ago (shows up to date). For the price of EarthLink, the service is unacceptable. 100 Mb in today's world is laughable.

Service OK App terrible
The interface is buggy and some features are not available because of non-functioning buttons and elements that block each other. Often unresponsive. No excuse for this in today’s world. Fail.
Could be better…
I’ve been a dedicated EarthLink user for over 20 years now, so while its great to be able to access my email via an iPhone app, i still can’t print emails and also, the app freezes and crashes far too often. Still I like the simplicity of the app but I feel like a few simple tweaks would make it even better…

Use to be great
I don’t know what’s going on. This app worked perfectly. Then a couple months back it started freezing on email. I restart the app and it refreezes again. I was waiting and hoping for an update. Tired of waiting. I read the other reviews and it seems like no one cares about fixing the app. For that reason I give it one start.
