Read this for Matter users
It’s not apparent, but you CAN get this added via Matter without using the WarmUp app or creating an account with them.
Go through the set up screens on the device. When you get to set up app QR code, tap dismiss. When it asks for a time and date, dismiss that too. Now you’re at the Home Screen. Go to settings. Network. And hopefully the Matter button is available and not greyed out. Use your favorite smart home app to scan the Matter code and your smart phone will set up the WiFi and add the device. If the matter option is greyed out, you’ll have to factory reset. It’s a different screen than the network screen which confusingly has a reset all network connections button that doesn’t perform a factory reset.
I use Home Assistant and this worked for me. Now this thermostat is going to be installed hidden away in a closet never to be touched again. My smart home will handle automating turning on the floor heat and a button on my Zooz scene controller can also control the heat, along with the lights in the room, fan boost etc.
Setting this up I found myself with a greyed out button for Matter. Support wasn’t able to figure out why, the product designer responsible for this UC should be ashamed they didn’t make the setup workflow ask you if you want to setup with Matter or the App. Simply offering both choices in the initial setup would have made this setup a 5 star experience instead of 1 star and several days of frustration.

Horrible user experience
The app barely works and even when it does it’s just plainly horrible to use. When adding new thermostats, you cannot paste the WiFi password 😂 clearly nobody cared or tested the app
Fails pair with device
It crashes on attaching a ne thermostat. Does not have accurate instructions for manual pairing. Does not allow paste of any details in forms, and does not retain partial set up that fails.

Im surprised anybody let this be released it’s unusable.
Overly complicated, app won’t connect to my WiFi.
Our contractor put this in and I can’t get it to work. The app won’t connect to my WiFi. I’d give anything to have a simple on/off switch and a dial for heat. I gave it two stars because it makes a nice nightlight for our new bathroom.

Loads of functions missing like adding another user. Can’t change thermometer from air to floor on app. Should be able to save a winter settings from others.

Won’t add the thermostats for the underfloor heating rendering the whole system useless. Great work.

Terrible UI. Buttons don’t work or respond. Confusing. Limited. Does what it wants when it wants. Dated. Not fit for purpose. Garbage.
Very poor App
Poor very poor. In the App I set an override for 1 hour. The app states this is done correctly, later in the day I find the App has decided to fix the temp to 28c. And now I randomly fond one of the other bathrooms has set itself to 20c instead of frost protection, which is the standard setting for the thermostats as I cannot trust warmup not to quietly change temps and cost me a fortune. It is obvious there is no investment in this app or the thermostats. A real shame. The layout is not intuitive at all. Spend some money and have the app overhauled and while doing so make sure it interacts with the thermostats correctly. More positive reviews means more sales!

Overly Clever, Gets The Basics Wrong
I just want to turn the floor heat on/off on a set schedule and see clearly if the heat is on or off. Would bee wonderful if I could temporarily toggle that at the thermostat. However, the only option is to set target temperatures at set dates and times. This doesn’t work well. It’s hot at 5:45 and then cold by 6:15 when I want to use it, despite my “leave time” being hours later.

Terrible app
I agree with the first review in here. The app is useless. I think my thermostat is working to heat the floor but it’s hard to tell.
Works fine
No complaints. Honestly just thrilled the app still works. So many IoT apps just stop working. But this one is still going strong.
Any review more than 1 star is lying
This is the worst thermostat and app I’ve ever seen. Anyone who claims this works, is a bot or paid reviewer.
Intrusive
Can’t access and use basic functions without going through invasive location tracking set up, utility charges & personally identifiable information. No doubt it is all securely stored; don’t you worry your pretty little head. A floor heater is definitely worth sharing your personal data.
Rubbish!
I have 2 areas of under floor heating, my bathroom and my kitchen/diner, installed in 2016. The kitchen diner is on a fixed temperature of 15 degrees so it never comes on - this works fine, basically because I don’t use it. In the bathroom, I like different temperatures on different days and this is impossible to set, so now I just boost it manually before I use the bathroom. The method of programming is absurd, as being retired, I sometimes don’t leave home at all. Why can’t it just be like the hive where I can select the time and temperature as often as I like?

Useless as tits on a bull
Once again, Apple screws you because you can’t give something zero stars.
This is quite possibly the worst app I’ve ever tried to use. I’ve spent two hours trying to get the thing to connect. I’m doing everything I’m right on my end. My Wi-Fi is working perfectly in the house. I’ve even restarted my router just in case thanks a lot, Terra you useless turd.

Trash App
The App will say saved when you change the temp and then about a few minutes later the temp reverts to original. You have to keep going through this process and hopefully it takes but don’t hold your breath.
This app was not tested before release
Finishing the setup flow was a miracle. Selecting room type deselected the fuel type and the other way around. Had to pick randomly a room type until both were finally picked up. QR code scanning only worked on iPhone, not on android.
Awful - wasted opportunity
I mean… how to get it so, so bad. Room is cold. Turn on floor heating. That’s as complicated as it needs to be. Didn’t connect. QR code is useless. Just all round awful.
