The Best

I love this so much and I am happy to have it l am a senior its perfect ‼️

Trash….

The app won’t allow me to delete lost cards. If you mark the card lost, or stolen now you can’t remove the card. The digital QR code never scans and now the balance shown is inaccurate even if I reload, close and reopen the app. It’s a shame the taxpayers paid more money to this transit program and we still have horrendous service and trash apps. The nerve of raising fares is a real head scratcher.

Transfer problem

The app will not let me transfer money from my other my keys cards that’s on my account.

Works better now.

As of 10/20/25 it seems they have fixed the QR code issue on new iphones. I can ride the bus again now. Thank you.

Doesn’t work

I have the app on an iPhone 16e and the QR code to pay doesn’t show up, even with a linked card and funds. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app and signing in and out and doesn’t work. Called customer service and they couldn’t help, and the customer support email doesn’t work. Very frustrating.

FAQ

What does the MyKey app do?

The MyKey app allows users to conveniently pay for IndyGo bus fares. You can create an account, add funds using a credit or debit card, and pay for your rides by scanning a QR code on the validator. It also helps you manage your fare card balance and transaction history.

How do I pay my fare with the app?

To pay your fare, open the MyKey app and scan your mobile app's QR code on a MyKey fare validator. This can be done on local buses or at Red Line station platforms. Ensure you have sufficient funds in your account or card balance.

Is there a cost to use the MyKey app?

The MyKey app itself is free to download and use. You will only be charged for the cost of your bus fares and any associated transaction fees for adding funds. There are no additional fees for using the app to manage your account or payments.

Can I manage multiple fare cards with the app?

Yes, you can manage multiple MyKey fare cards through the app. You can link your existing MyKey card to your app account, transfer funds between your app and cards, and check the balance of all associated fare media. This allows for centralized management of your transit funds.

What is fare capping?

Fare capping is a feature that ensures you never pay more than a set amount for your rides within a day or week. With daily fare capping, you won't pay more than $4 per day ($2 for reduced fare customers). Weekly fare capping limits your spending to $15.75 per week ($7.65 for reduced fare customers).
