Way overly complicated!
This app is so overly complicated and the simplest things are impossible to find or accomplish. Try to message your provider or respond to them, good luck figuring that out (it can be done, but it takes 10 minutes every time to stumble upon it). Just look at how many option are in the menu button (~40). Good luck choosing. The right one.

Terrible UI
The app is confusing, difficult to navigate and so complex that sending a message is almost impossible. Getting in touch with your doctor seems like a privilege since they have 3 days to reapond. It’s a great gatekeeper to the care we pay for.
Communicating with care team
Recent changes have made it difficult to ask simple follow-up questions and requests for prescriptions. Previously patients were able to communicate with a provider to ask a question and get a response now the only option is to request an evisit which requires answering questions that don’t apply.
Pleased
Had my first virtual visit this week and had no problem at all. Had my youngest daughter with me as backup on the tech stuff. I just followed the directions sent with the e-checkin and connected with radiology and Dr came on after about a 2 minute wait. Was concerned because not a tech person at all and computers intimidate me, but I was very pleased with the connection, visit, and Doctor.

No notification of appts or msgs
As long as I remember to keep checking for updates, it’s great but I don’t remember to look everyday.
Scheduling feature needs improvements
If the intention of the app is to be a self-service model then you ought to restrict appt availability based on age and insurance limitations. For example, if a child’s shots can only be administered after July 1, then June 30 should not populate as an option when scheduling subsequent visits.
Apple health app
The app is good but i would personally prefer it work with the apple health app. But in my case it doesn’t work its not compatible im under the impression that it is possibly due to them not linking the systems on the apple side i would imagine it could be an easy fix i just hope they fix it soon

I appreciate all Oschner has done for me.they have taken excellent care of me I would especially like to thank Dr Copeland for actually saving my life diagnosing a life threatening uti the nurses and every one in the hospital were excellent. They took excellent care of me.
Fantastic App but I FEAR the limitations of the Cybersecurity
This is an Amazing App! It’s extremely helpful because basically everything you need is at your fingertips… records, communications, doctor notes, appointments, etc. I don’t have to call a nurse for a refill, I can just ask them through a text message.
But I use this app very hesitantly, because I know that nothing on the internet is 100% safe from nefarious actions. I constantly fear that the great amount of my information, that is recorded on the Oschner system, will be stolen and used against me. Because of this unfortunate doubt in my head, I don’t feel like I can have a complete conversation with my health provider!
The way that the system is designed, is to document everything. The entire conversation that I had with my Oschner doctor was typed up and added to my file on the MyOscner App, potentially for any cyberstalker to steal and post freely on the darkweb.
I will never feel 100% safe while using the MyOschner App.

Very useful and user friendly.
Easy Peasy
This App is very user friendly. Once you set up it is easy to do whatever. I look up test results, send messages to my MD, like, insurance needs a pre-authorization, schedule appointments, add other portals to this one. You can make payments, look up specialty physicians. I love the app and it makes health care so easy and fast. Go ahead… give it a go ; ). You can go to settings and set up facial recognition ( which is really nice).
