Overall a great app
Really accurate app, helps keep you accountable and I like that it tracks each drive.
This one is Really hard to understand.
I'm on vacation flying on United, bored, so I open thia to see my score. I'M DUMFOUNDED. I get scored for driving 150 mph on landing, severe braking and for touching my phone!!! This must a game being played on all of us. We have to spend our time fixing stupid for a few bucks discount? I'm so fed up.

Enjoying app
I like mostly everything about the app except that it rates my driving when I am a passenger. Being a beginner I lost a lot of points when I wasn’t driving.
James Hesselgesser
Frequently accused of hard breaking when there definitely is not any. I believe it is done purposefully to lower our score.
Unfair, Unreasonable, Inaccurate
To be constantly penalized for normal and safe driving activities is patently unfair. Somehow we're required to enroll to get insurance but it sure appears that every opportunity to find fault is built into MySafeDrive. I've driven for 60 years with zero tickets, zero accidents and State Farm gave me huge discounts. This App dings you for anything that isn't driving like Granny. It is not a distraction to tap the GPS on your phone or put it back in the cradle. It is not unreasonable to apply brakes when the light turns yellow or some knucklehead changes lanes abruptly. Is it even possible to score 100? Is my life now?

Don’t Let AAA Talk You Into This
This app is designed to make you pay more for your insurance, even though your “agent” will tell you it is a way to save you money. It does this in several ways. Any accident avoidance techniques, like slowing quickly for a yellow light, or for another vehicle entering your lane in front of you, or for a vehicle slowing abruptly in front of you, will cause a “Hard Braking” event against your record. This event will lower your score for weeks until it drops off. A two second event will last for twenty days before it drops off. Additionally, even though you have logged zero distraction events, the summary will still show you have some kind of distractions on your record. There are no indications as to when, but they are contained in your summaries. And if you happen to try and pass a slow moving vehicle on a freeway, you will get a “Speeding” event that will also stay on your record for weeks. So don’t let your agent talk you into this. It is not a benefit for the driver. It is a benefit for the insurance company to justify charging you higher insurance rates.

Long time driver First time using a driving app
I am learning so much! Eye opening to see my weaknesses in going fast- exit ramps and 91 in Springfield ! Using my cruise control and seeing nice increase in my driving scores! Nice app with suggestions!
Terrible
No good, so dumb and does not know speed limits, can’t change trip to being a passenger because it thinks it’s “smart” enough to know. Removing as I had enough. So many fake reviews
I’m not driving
I rarely drive, instead riding as a passenger with family, friends or ride share. This app always states that I’m the driver when I’m not and if I don’t change it immediately, it affects my score. I don’t have time to babysit this app like it’s my job.
Most unfair safe driving app
Don’t know other safe driving apps, but this one picks the one thing that is out of safe drivers control as you not driving safely the hardest every single time. Hard breakings are mostly caused by other drivers or avoiding unsafe situations. You can have everything else 5 stars, but a slow down into a rough driveway will make your entire trip one star. This is a driveway I drive into almost daily! The app for some reason doesn’t mind you speeding or being distracted so much, both you actually have control over their occurrence. But there is no mercy for any hard breaking; it’s always your fault!!! Maybe it is by designed to screw you!

Horrible for low mileage drivers
I drive about 5000 miles a year if I’m lucky. Because of this if I slam on the brakes to avoid a collision or a squirrel or a kid on a bike I’m penalized. And my score drops to 40%-70%.
If I drove 100 miles without incident the score goes up. But since I’ve driven 156 miles in two months my score is horrible. It takes a lot of mileage without incident to raise your score.
Also note that you need to check this daily, especially if you use your phone as a passenger. You get locked out of noting yourself as a passenger on the app rather quickly. And then your score plummets even more. It’s like having a babysitter/ big brother who you also have to constantly monitor. This app is horrible for low mileage drivers.

Inaccurate, Unreasonable
I have experience with the State Farm app and also with the Allstate driving app. MySafeDrive seems to have zero tolerance for real world driving situations and more specifically it applies simply wrong speed limits compared to actually posted speeds. I have 60 years of driving experience without a single accident or citation. Not one! Driving scores are penalized for phone screen taps at a full stop at a red light, for braking at anything more than a grannie slow pace and applying speed limits that are plainly wrong from posted signs. The premium rebates earned are minimal and it's all too easy to overcharge and get labelled a bad driver.

Horrible app
Punishes you for driving… :( I don’t even use a breaks at all as I have Tesla ( one pedal operation) I decelerate very gradually while releasing gas pedal. And still it considers me as “hard braking”, so annoying!!!
Bugs?
Why do I keep getting distraction 1 Star when my phone isn’t getting used? Is it picking up apps that work in the background ? Strange; maybe they do it so you never have a perfect score
I don’t like it
Seems like if you drive short distances with a couple red lights going to your destination you get hit for hard breaking all the time. If you’re a passenger or in someone’s car and they are driving you take a hit.
The app looks like you get better scores driving long distances.
No one has the time to go into app and flag your not driving this time.

Hard braking scores don’t make sense
I have the road rewards app and things agree accept for the hard braking. It doesn’t make sense. I did the math and my hard braking is not greater than 1/3 g. Please fix the app.
What ?
If someone cuts me off and I have to hit the brakes hard to avoid them that shouldn’t count as “Hard Braking”. Went down a street that has bumps and potholes everywhere and it counted it as heavy braking! Really!
Downshifting is not heavy braking.

Hard Braking
I think the braking data is a little harsh. Doesn’t seem right to go from a 5 star trip down to a 1 star just because of the system determining you braked hard. Things happen, I.e getting cut off by another driver and the hard brake is the only way to avoid it. Don’t think I should get penalized for someone else’s mistake.

Garbage software
Impossible to drive on a busy highway in heavy traffic without getting penalized for braking. Response from insurance was “ try not to drive in heavy traffic”. Insanity !
Great
Just follow the law it’s that easy
