Terrible App

This app stops working and will not load.

Customer service helped

Used for a year now. Works consistently. The app is admittedly complex from a UX standpoint. The customer service folks helped.

Thermostat

If you have anything that uses this app you have been screwed... its junk.

Not as good as the old CTC app

Updated review April 2026. Still one star!!! This app got a bit better at one point and probably warranted a 3 star or even 4 star review (version 2.3.1 (2342) . You could put the hot water on for 1/2 hour etc and you could click the save button and you’d know you’d done it. It would also show on the app that you’d done this as the 0.5 would stay on the screen. This latest iteration is dreadful yet again. No idea if I’ve turned the hot water on for half hour as there’s a save button for changing from eco to comfort etc but not for adding a boost to the hot water. You do that, and the 0.5 disappears from the screen and it looks like you haven’t done it. The only way of telling that you’ve instructed it to do something is to go to “general” and see if the DHW is on or not. But you’ve no idea at that point if you’ve put it on correctly for 0.5 hour or made an error and it’s on for an hour!! Does nobody test these releases ?? Ref release 2.6.1 (2689)

This app was supposed to be an “upgrade” from the old CTC app that I had that was no longer going to be supported by CTC or Nibe or whoever it is who controls the app. This my uplink app is poor . You can’t scroll up and down like you could on the old CTC app, so you can’t seewhether the hot water is on and all the other screens, unless you actually come out of one screen and then go back into another screen ; it’s just so not user-friendly. It also falls over quite frequently. At the moment I’m struggling to get anything working at all on the myUplink. For days it kept telling me the temperature outside was 11° when it clearly wasn’t and now I can not control my hot water or my holiday mode from this quite useless app. I think there was an update last weekend that took it from being fairly useless to completely useless and it keeps telling me I’ve got no Internet connection. I have got Internet connection ; there’s nothing wrong with it. Please sort this app out. I’m quite lucky that because I have a CTC product I’m not paying for it but a lot of people are paying decent money for this app. It needs to be right and it’s most certainly not. Update July 24 this app just gets worse and worse. A month ago I could easily see on the dashboard if I’d put it into holiday mode or not but now I have to go into menu and check . Why has this gone from the dashboard? Do you care about this app or your customers? This is the 21st century and we should have much better functionality remotely operating our very expensive heat pumps . Not good enough

Shocking

Worthless app

I should’ve known not to try to install it when I saw how low the reviews were on this app. I have a brand new iPhone with iOS 26 and it will not connect to the device. My advice to the developers is to either update the app or take it off the App Store. As it is right now, it is taking up valuable real estate on my phone!

This is know issue and we are working on fixing this, but we would like to understand this better. Please share more details about the connection issue by contacting us at help@myuplink.com, so we can investigate and help resolve it. In the meantime please make sure that the app and heat pump are up to date and try to reinstall the app and do the the process again.

Another update that doesn’t work

UPDATE UPDATE : needs a completely fresh installation. Delete and reinstall from fresh.

UPDATE: with the serial and connection code this still does not work

I updated assuming the new version would import details The upload forgets prior login details and requires being at site to login or have the serial number and a string .

Losing features with each update.

Part could be related to IOS 26 but not all. After installing IOS 26 I was no longer able to adjust temperature in app. I believe myUplink did an update to correct that but now I can not find where to adjust fan on and off. The new swipe to adjust temperature is difficult to adjust by 1 degree and the numbers are small and difficult to read. It also appears you can not adjust hot water temp in app now. App or thermostat sometimes does not connect to servers and thermostat does not respond to app adjustments. I could list many other issues but those are some of the big ones.
I have Climate Master Geo that requires or did require a specific thermostat. The old thermostat was a model built by Ecobee. It was a very basic thermostat but the app was full of features. Climate Master switched to a very low quality thermostat that was possibly developed by them and it uses the myuplink app. One of the most advanced and expensive Geo thermal units uses the cheapest thermostat with a bad app. This is really sad but I would not purchase another Climate Master Geothermal HVAC unit solely from the thermostat and app.

Latest version improvements

The latest version returned the ability to set thermostat temperature easily from the Home Screen instead of having it buried 5 menus down in advanced settings.

Horrible app

Works for a day or 2 then stops. Horrible service.

No temp control

I’m using iOS 18.6.2 and the app doesn’t let me change the current temp setting. That would be THE most basic thing a thermostat app should do

Hidden temperature control

They moved the ability to adjust the temperature under settings, advanced, thermostat, settings. The feature that I need every time I open the app and is buried.

Terrible app

I used to be able to adjust the temperature from my app. That functionality is gone. All you can do from the app is look at the temperature and see what mode the unit is running. It is worthless. Don’t know why they changed it but it’s garbage.

Horrible interface

The unit is great, but the interface is horrible. The thermostat is a pain to use, and this app is useless. I cannot adjust the temperature in the app. I have to get out of bed and attempt to adjust the temperature on the thermostat itself, when traditional ac units can be controlled with a cheap HomeKit thermostat. At the very least they should offer smart home integration.

Shockingly bad

Totally useless, like it’s designed by someone who has never had a heating system. Can’t see how the system is performing or change anything. Wish I could change heat pump brands. Can’t find any of the graphs that used to show how and when it was performing. And the fact I need two factor authentication just to log in to my own personal heating is crazy, who’s trying to hack into that? So bad! Please give me back the old version that was also bad but not stupid.

Every update it’s get more pointless

The original app showed brine temps , hot water temps , graphs , I kept a record to show the legionella cycle, this latest version tells me literally nothing , NIBE need to bin the Myuplink app and get something decent

Useless at best

This app is junk. It should be removed from Appstore. You’re better off using the web page.

Absolutely useless

This app was already very poorly designed - the recent update makes it absolutely useless. It no longer displays the status of the heatpump - whether it is on or off, wether it is heating water or radiators - there is no longer a simple way of boosting hot water when needed - really, there is no point in having the app at all if everything has to be fine by going to the heatpump itself to make changes. And we are excited to pay an annual subscription for this! Absolutely hopeless
