Awful app
Has updated to mandate cloud storage for a fee of £80 per year. Doesn’t seem possible to use without this (and no longer recognise the SD card). Device now going in bin so waste of time and money.
Very easy to use
A very useful app which works well considering the poor broadband speeds in my area.
The pictures are of a wonderful clarity which I update to my friends on a regular basis if I get any rare birds visiting my garden.

Unintuitive and poorly implemented
Messages great. A snap from the capture to give you a preview of what might be on the video. Why wouldn’t you then link that message to the video for easy review? Why wouldn’t you also allow the full video to be saved? Also, some of the apparent videos in the timeline just say “end of video” when you try to play them. Poor.

Good little camera
This seems a great little camera and by and large the app works well once you get used to it.
It seems to me that when you get an alert and from the alert message (within me section) it opens the camera and not the playback. I only seem to be able to get play back mode if I open the camera first, then open the features area underneath the camera windows, click messages and then click all. Any other journey doesn’t seem to open the playback. Is this a defect? I would have expected that any time you click view option you should go to playback mode.

Recording an event is bad
Recording a whole clip is impossible as you cannot press ‘record’ before the video starts playing so you have to miss the first few seconds. There should be a record whole clip button! Also the recording is basically a screen capture of the motion, so if the video is interrupted for buffering the recording with have that interruption too. Very poor quality, there should be an option to buffer the whole clip and record it.
It’s also baffling that the notifications don’t link you to the video for playback, so you have to use the archaic menu system to get back from the notification back to the camera, then to playback, then scroll the timeline to find the clip. Why doesn’t the notification take you straight there?!

Poor motion detection scheduling
How daft not being able to set motion detection to overnight only - this is the time one is most likely to want to detect wildlife and not pick up human movement during the day
Returned for refund.
Sadly this turned out not to be for me.
I couldn’t get it to function correctly, & the company agreed to a refund without quibble.
Disappointing that it had to be returned, but full marks to the company.

Poor playback, otherwise fine
Mostly fine but playback of motion recorded events is a real hassle. It’s nearly impossible to record the whole clip because the saved events start playing immediately after you scroll to them (a fiddly process in itself), with a huge pause button in the middle of the video; so if you’re trying to capture a bird that is only on screen for a few seconds for example, you will be lucky if you catch its tail feathers disappearing off the edge of the screen. If you pause the video, you cannot start recording?!
Maybe an option to automatically save motion captures would be helpful, but really a better solution for playback is needed.

Software poor
Camera good - when it works. Interface difficult to use and recording obscured with a massive pause sign. Firmware update made the camera refuse to pair with my phone/network. Awaiting replacement unit to see if that works.
Ok needs a fair amount of work
Camera is good and has long battery life … playback mode is very poor awful usability.. no ability to download videos (?!), videos always start with a huge pause symbol in the middle of the image obscuring anything that’s there… wonder if the people who designed this ever actually use it

Menu system
Menu system is archaic and not intuitive, with no help, trying to figure out settings regarding motion detection and video recording is a bind. Last software update meant schedule settings could not cross over days and when queried I was told it would be fixed in 2 to 3 weeks, that was 3 months ago. SD card also corrupted after less than a year. It’s good value when you can get the thing to do what you want it to.

Works well
No issues with performance at all. Only improvement I can think of would be to have a list view of all the recorded motion events, as scrolling through the timeline is a bit fiddly. Otherwise great app, and a great camera.
