Naukri used to be the gold standard for anyone starting their career. If you were a fresher, it was the only app you needed to land that first big break. But lately, it feels like the platform has shifted its focus from helping job seekers to simply chasing profits.

Itās clear the developers got greedy. Instead of improving the core experience, theyāve locked everything useful behind a paywall called Naukri Pro. They promise "priority visibility" and "better reach," but in reality, it feels like a tax on the unemployed.
Free vs. Paid: The Harsh Reality
ā¢ Standard Naukri: Youāll see "HR Activities" like your profile being bookmarked or downloaded, but thatās where it ends. You get the "usual stuff" in your dashboard, but almost zero actual contact from recruiters.

Waste of money
I had a very disappointing experience with Naukriās paid domestic & International subscription for 6 month. At the time of purchase, they promised regular and relevant job recommendations and better visibility to recruiters. However, even after 3 months of activation, the service has not delivered what was committed.
I received only 5ā7 calls through the paid service, while I personally found and applied to more than 150 relevant jobs through manual search. Surprisingly, many relevant openings were visible on the portal, but their so-called algorithm never recommended them. When I raised this with the relationship manager and support team, I kept receiving generic responses like ādepends on market availabilityā and āalgorithm is being enhanced.ā
There has been no real value from the paid subscription. It feels like false promises were made during the sales process just to sell the service.
I would not recommend taking Naukriās paid subscription, especially the international package. Manual search has been far more effective than their paid service.

Avoid at all cost
This Indian based app is full of bugs and seems like a mean of gathering emails and informations that will certainly be used in scams or spamās.

Great app to search jobs but..
Naukri portal is great to navigate through various openings in Indian market. But when it comes to premium services, they just fool you.
Their premium services seem to be scam only, just to loot desperate job seekers.
I availed their resume building service, which they charge 2000 INR, seriously? 2k just for writing something which chat GPT can do for free now. And then there is one more service I bought for getting job leads, which they charge around 4 to 5k. In this service, they just provide you same feeds on your email and mobile, and without any further guidance or support on getting the calls or interview schedule and preparations. If i am spending around 6000, I am expecting at-least more than just email and text message!

I liked the simple interface, it is easy to use as compared to other job boards. Further, interview preparation toolsets is very useful and one can easily get idea about the role the company and also tasks required.

I have been user of this app since long and whenever I was looking for jobs seriously , I updated my profile and from then onwards I used to get lot of good invites. I landed up all my interviews through this platform only. I understand that getting calls could be subjective wrto profile and skillset yet many of my friends from different professions / background / skillset recieved recruiter calls via this app.
I never took the premium but basic version too helped me a lot !

Most arrogant and rudes reps
I had 2 calls with 2 different representatives from Nakuri
They lack the basic communication skills, and are extremely rude and arrogant and used words like you donāt know anythingā¦ how can you know about job marketā¦..
They would push you buy services and told me that āmaāam you are not getting any response because you donāt have the service Iām suggesting youā and mind you, he spoke this when I already have 2 monthly subscription from Nakuri.
Apart from that both tired to belittle me and was not at all empathetic.
I had high hopes from Nakuri but after these two events Idk it feels more like a pushy agenda to take up their paid services.
And not only thisā¦
I inform the reps about monthly subscription.. and that I m not interested to pay 6k+ combo packs for 6 monthsā¦ he was like āyes it would hurt your pocket and you donāt want to make investment and you wonāt get a job till you take up their serviceā
The very 101 of sales and all is that you become empathetic and relate with the customer and not be rude to them.
Tbh 6k is nothing for a span of 6 month but these all felt like some agenda.
