New to drones
As someone who’s new to drones and just getting into it this app is really well made and explains everything in detail. Quite impressed!

NAV Drone opinion
Easy to use app, nice to be able to request, and receive APPROVED permission within seconds, however, drawing the boundaries of the flight zone is definitely not easy on the phone app, so that function requires the use of a laptop before flight.

I can’t tell if this app is just a cheap entertainment toy or if it’s legit, yes I like the resources but at a minimum it would be nice to get a ding when my requested time is done and a ding to notify me when a plane is approaching. That being said, I am new to this and still figuring it out.
Unusable
So many bugs it’s unusable. Can’t save new flight area. Keeps defaulting to Toronto despite allowing to use my location. After fiddling around with the the location for 10min it shifts it by 2NM and scaled it to about 1/50th the size. You guys heard of alpha testing apps before releasing them?
With updates it’s now reliable
Reliable and super convenient. Helps my work as a photojournalist. Great job
App and Online unstable after June 2025 update, SERIOUS REPERCUSSIONS
As of the new app update, the app is very unstable. There are many days where we are grounded, with significant financial repercussions, because the app fails to work. Sometimes it won’t let us validate, sometimes it won’t load login information, sometimes it won’t allow the selection of a category of operation, sometimes it won’t pull use preferences/drones. All of these block the user from submitting a flight. it occurs on the app or online, and we have fantastic internet connection every time this happens. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. This is the only app Nav Canada allows, and if it can’t function reliably how can this industry work?

Logged Out
The all wont remember my log in credentials, I have to type it in all the time. Such a hassle. The all crashes and logs me out constantly. Not very reliable when you’re trying to fly

Cannot launch and land, app crashes then glitches and won’t let you land if you do get it to launch

On iPhone have to log each time starting app and do not even remember user name
Also it would be great to add multiple drones to single operation when doing testing. The rest ok and easy to use

Horrible app, complicated and difficult to use. Far from user friendly.
Biometrics for login is needed!
Functionality and utilization of the app is good but it’s annoying to have to login by entering email and password every single time. It would be helpful to implement login via biometrics.
New version won’t keep your login information
Unfortunately, the new update forces you to login over and over again. Sometimes even in the same session.
Please fix this.
Like all iOS apps, it should remember your login information unless you ask to logout.

UI fixes needed
When accepting flight in advanced areas, have the dangerous good automatically set to ‘no’
Move the withdraw flight acceptance button and have it confirm before accepting.

Been using this for some time. Generally works well.
My two complaints…
First- Logs out constantly now. Need to log in every time.
Second- A micro drone is the only aircraft in my inventory yet the app defaults to Basic -EVERY-TIME. The app should allow the operator to set a default setup for type, altitude, and radius. I shouldn’t have to enter that every time if I only have one aircraft in the inventory. I understand you may want operators to go through the steps to ensure proper flight assignments but users of the app are generally following rules. The extra steps are unnecessary IMHO. Even a “load last flight attributes button would suffice.
