Glitchy dual charging

It has a fancy app but after multiple attempts including changing the unit itself, simultaneous charged two Teslas could not be accomplished consistently.
I don’t care about the power usage stats that most of the app screen is taken over by. I want the focus to be on basic functionality of charging the vehicles.

Good analytics, buggy app

I mainly use the app to track energy consumption. It was nice when I could input the custom utility rate but that feature is now bugged and you can’t add separate summer and winter seasons. The scheduled charging was a nice addition but it does work right for daytime peak rates. I want my EV to charge only outside peak hours but the schedule cannot represent M-F having a daytime time of day rate instead. Every time I try to save the schedule doesn’t configure right so I stopped trying to use it. In the future I plan to replace this with a Tesla Wall Connector since that is easy to use.

We've fully fixed the custom utility rate bug, so you can now add separate summer and winter seasons again, and the M-F daytime peak (or off-peak) schedule will save correctly. Good device awful app

I like the smart splitter even though it was too expensive. But the app is awful. Too much advertising and confusing layout. Why are there ads even on the main screen at all. This totally takes away from the usability. Focus on that; I already paid a premium for the device.

2nd review: continually updated, de-bugged & feature-enhanced for best value now and in the future!

Clean install with existing socket or, relatively cheap electrician visit if needed, clean reliable, self-explanatory app, robust functions without unnecessary fluff and glam. Developers updating frequently with customer feedback to keep it the best value now and in the future. I continue to be really happy with it !

Dumb Charger if no subscription

Used to be able to see live charging and control the device from the app. Now all the features are locked behind a paid subscription. Slap in the face for all existing customers who bought this prior to the change. At least make a lifetime one time subscription option.

Bait and switch

Going from free to paid and trying to get access to my home is unacceptable and deceptive. Paying for no added value and locking me out of basic settings is terrible. I’ll be leaving a negative review on Amazon as well

The reporting is now fantastic

I’ve been using NeoCharge splitters for 5 years or so. We have two NeoCharge 14-50 splitters for our 4 plug in vehicles. The devices themselves have been completely trouble free and very reliable. The reporting in the app has evolved a lot and this latest revision is fantastic. It now allows multiple splitters on a single account and the information it reports is exactly
What I have been looking for. Fantastic work! I highly recommend the splitter and they app.

Track your EV charging

A very handy app that allows you to keep track of your EV charging cycles and costs!
Unfortunately, it’s no longer free, but loaded with features that I’ll never use, so I can’t justify the cost of it,it’s kinda steep…

Device does split charging well. Now requires subscription

Well Neocharge jumped on the subscription bandwagon. Sorry. Not worth the money you want. Most functionality you offer can be handled directly with th car and attached chargers. Too bad. Can’t recommend this hardware any longer

I want to love it (Updated)

(Update) Now they want me to pay for functionality that was standard when I got the device. The disrespect to you as a customer is unbelievable. The product itself is good, the app is a sham.

But they keep making changes that are unnecessary so every time they update the app is a coin flip if it’s going to work or not. My app hasn’t worked properly since like 2 updates ago and I had to reset the whole thing and it’s not letting me add location now.

App is a dumpster fire

This app is really bad. It looks good on the surface but when you use the app it is riddled with bugs like not saving your rate schedules properly or not allowing you to fully edit rates. Also the status notifications and integration with ev is never right. For example it says my car is plugged in but I’m out driving around and when I refresh the integration it shows the wrong charge percentage. Complete and still shows the car is plugged in when it’s not. The app is confusing and when you add the multitude of bugs it becomes frustrating to use. Questioning my choice to purchase the splitter from these guys and now concerned it’s also buggy.

Great Splitter, OK App

4.5 Stars: Splitter is easy to install, fits directly onto the dryer outlet, pairs well with Wi-Fi. User interface has useful animations and is informative, but not as intuitive as it could be.

Good idea but iffy implementation

I love the idea of the app to track charging and costs for my EV. Having more data about what I use and how it compares to my gas vehicle is great. Unfortunately this app doesn’t live up that that need. It is awful at keeping track of things when using a charger that isn’t your home charger. It gets the location wrong and won’t let you change it. It records things haphazardly. And if you don’t check it regularly after charging it will not record a charging session. Frankly I’m sorry I paid for the app. If I could get a refund I would.
