I can only read some of the news papers with my subscription. Rapport, Beeld and Volksblad do not want to open.

Subscription but no access
Trying to get into Netwerk24, have a active subscription from App store but keep being told I have a valid apple pay but I am unable to log in. Really dissapointed. The app and the help functions are really poor, why is there no sign in only a sign up. So frustrated. Also cannot cancel the apple subscription and then ending up paying again.

Cannot delete unused magazines and newspapers
It’s very frustrating not to be able to delete old and saved newspapers and magazines. I have no more data on my iPad because of all the old and saved newspapers and magazines. Please make it easier to delete them.
Poor feedback
Netwerk24 does not respond to emails or acknowledge suggestions for improvements, which gives the impression that the news agency does not genuinely value reader feedback. I am really close to rather start searching for other alternatives.
Sowing ads everywhere even when paying for the app
Showing ads everywhere even when paying for the app. The app also locks you out every few weeks, and when trying to log back in it only gives you the option to create a new account. Then I have to contact support again just to be able to log in.
Greatly improved app, terrible at notifications
The navigation in the app has improved from the frustrating older versions, but app push notifications are still broken. I receive ALL notifications even though certain types of notifications are turned off in the app settings. Gave feedback through the app and the customer care consultant told me first that they’ll unsubscribe me from all emails, and then re-explaining my problem told me how to turn off ALL notifications on my phone. Gave up. Will see how long I can stand the constant feed of push notifications of stories I don’t care about before I unsubscribe.

Advertisements
The sensitivity of the advertisements on the app is too delicate. If one barely touches an ad, it takes you there. Please adjust this. It is highly irritating.

No payment option in app
There is no payment option in app or option to change your payment methode, look into adding that because its more convenient than needing to log into a web browser to do that. Make things more convenient not complicated
No dark mode
While the app is ok, for a news app, it is absolutely horrible to read at times, especially at night without the option to use dark mode.
Perhaps one of the easiest changes to make in an iOS or iPadOS app, the lack of making the reading experience better for people that prefer to use dark mode, is simply not logical. Bearing in mind, that these readers are paying a monthly subscription to access the content… and the developers can’t be bothered to offer dark mode.
I have even asked the developers via the support link when they were going to introduce dark mode, and the response I received was that it wasn’t even on the dev backlog.
So only 1 star, until you introduce a more comfortable reading option with dark mode.

Yes for news no for ads
I love the news articles but the way adverts just open in my browser when I scroll down is extremely irritating

Frustrating
App crashes every few months and does not allow me to sign-in, no matter what. (You want me to call a call centre to troubleshoot an app???) Only way to resolve is to cancel subscription and delete app. Content often have typos and bad language construction. Your comments on news are often only placed the next day making it irrelevant. If a comment is not placed due to the comments policy no feedback is given as to how you have breached the policy. Contains a high number of adverts and sponsered content for a relative expensive subscription news app. New news is often placed in the feed at the bottom, forcing you to keep on scrolling. App does not (like other international news apps) limit the landing page to a set number of reports, forcing you to scroll into ‘old’ news. This means you spend a lot of wasted time on this app looking for new news.

Unable to read my mags
I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, I have deleted my cookies and cleared my cache.....to no avail....I am still unable to open any of my paid for subscriptions, although my debit order goes off VERY timeously on your side every month.
Can I even hope that an agent can make contact to assist? I wonder.....

Pathetic compared to previous version
This is the worst effort of an app I have experienced, and that for a massive media company!🤬
On the iPhone 11 if you click on the picture enlarge, it opens a picture exactly the same size as the original. Pinching and expanding function is disabled. No details of pictures can be seen other that taking a screenshot and opening it in pics.

New upgraded Netwerk 24
Since the new upgraded Version I have experiencing endless problems where I am unable to get and read the newest paper. The only thing that works is if I delete the app and reinstall it EVERYTIME!!!!! Been a subscriber for years and the magazine available also getting less and less.
Worst app - not working
The new app is not working properly - does not open on new newspapers - simply give you old ones. Also blank screens if you want to read a particular article. Reported it but after 4 days not corrected. Simply told it is with technical staff. Really poor service.
New version October 2021
The new version is fantastic! What an improvement. I have reinstated my subscription because of it. Well done.

Most (not all) articles refuse to load without any explanatory messages
No IOS featues:-
- No support for landscape consumption (via auto-rotate )
- No support for IOS gestures
- No breadcrumbs to aid navigation
In summary - less user-friendly than a late 90s web-site.

Die huidige toep is n ramp. Soos iemand al vroeër gesê het: n BMW is vervang met n Tata en nou moet gebruikers daarmee opsnork. Om n suksesvolle resep te vervang met n uiters power nuwe ontwerp, is n swak sakebesluit. As bestuurders van Netwerk die kommentaar sal lees wat hier gegee word, hoop ek dit dwing hulle om te herbesin. Ek was vd begin af n entoesiastiese gebruiker vd toep, maar nou nie meer nie en dink al daaraan om dit te kanselleer. Ek wil nie langer so sukkel nie!

Sorry but cannot take the ads anymore
Understand that ads are important for income and to pay the people who work for you. However, many people have complained about the obtrusive nature and nothing is done about it. The ads are as large as the content and too sensitive, leading to the browser opening without the intention on every reading occasion. Come on guys! Find an innovative way of dealing with it and I might reconsider again one day.
