Sigh

Was great at the start. Then it wouldn’t open. Then it would open but wouldn’t start the car. Then it was great again. Now it’s not showing vehicle status and won’t update when you swipe down so it won’t start my car. Those are the only reasons I had the app. Probably giving it till the end of my payment period and canceling. Customer service is trash. I was hung up on 3 times because they couldn’t figure out what the problem was. Got the hang on for a second and then click sound. 3 times. That’s not ok. If you don’t know the answer just tell me that. But be rude to me after I sat on hold for 30 minutes. No thanks Nissan.

Nissan Connect Services Made it Worse

One vehicle status and health report was not showing up after 30 days, I called NissanConnect Services for assistance. They told me it would probably take another 30 days for it to show up and did some tweaking. Now my app no longer shows a vehicle status report with tire pressure and the other features. I have uninstalled it, and and it still does not work honestly, I really don’t know what to do. I’m really disappointed with the service. I never had problems like this with OnStar on my General Motors vehicles.

Vehicle status no longer available

So for whatever reason, some genius at Nissan’s development team decided to remove the vehicle status option from the app. Before you could have viewed your tire pressure, odometer reading, fuel level etc, now you can’t. The app is basically useless because all you can do is lock/unlock the doors and remote start the vehicle, of course only if you paid for that option. Note that this was done with no warning or heads up from Nissan. I’m paying for their premium service package and that makes no sense now because the app is about as useful as my key fob. I’ll be downgrading my package and saving that extra $20/month.

Saved me

I am horrible with keeping my keys in my purse and inside the car as it’s in the garage. My husband is very big on ensuring all cars are locked at night. He locked the doors the night before, and I went to get into my car the next morning and I was locked out of my car not knowing about this app. 7 months pregnant knowing I had to get to work I googled and boom the app came up. I literally use it daily now!

Inconsistent capitalist tool

A fickle app that works whenever it feels like it, regardless of updates. The colder it is, the more likely that it will fail to remotely start your vehicle. An option that use to be programmed into your key, not a phone app, when it was built into your vehicle as an option and you paid for it ONE time (when you purchased your vehicle). But when you have corporations that care more about making money from subscriptions than one-time payments, then here we are.
