Not at all worth it! No audio.

I totally got suckered into the marketing articles that promoted this app because I was interested in the fascia release aspect of Pilates, thinking perhaps this routine offered something that I had been missing. Like other reviewers, I pretty much instantly regret purchasing this one month trial, and I sent an email to customer support asking for a refund and a cancellation; although they will not offer a refund, they did cancel. While the response was prompt, I have been frustrated with their assistance for any other issues, especially the no audio. I’m also frustrated by the locked daily challenges. As another reviewer has said, unless you have zero exercise experience, this is not a good app. Maybe it if was free, it would be a nice addition to other routines. I basically am stuck with this since I paid the $20, so I will use it as a stretching routine after more thorough workouts. It would be so nice though if there was some sort of audio coaching, or a countdown sound. At the very least, some calm music!

Focus on variety and effectiveness

No audio for Pilates

The exercises aren’t bad but it’s very hard to concentrate on the exercises while also watching the countdown on the phone since there is no audio to indicate when a movement is complete. For the days that have multiple rounds of the same set of exercises it would be helpful to have a few seconds to change from right to left or to stand up in between exercises. Instead it just moves right from one directly into the other. The concept of this app is good but it needs some work to make it fully functional.

Good start but needs work

This is just another of the many yoga/Pilates workout apps, the sequences are fine, but the integration in the app is really poor. No instructions on tasks, no sound to let you know when things are ending or the next set is beginning. Better options out there.

Very poor workout experience. Basic user needs are missing.

Nord Pilates may have workout content, but the app misses some very basic design sense needed for an actual workout experience.

The biggest issue is the lack of proper audio cues or countdown timer sounds. When you are exercising, you should not have to keep staring at the screen just to know when a move is ending or when the next one starts. That is such a basic expectation from any fitness app. Even worse, there seems to be no clear setting to switch countdown sounds on or off.

There is also no Apple Watch app support, which makes the experience even more frustrating. For a workout app, wearable support and audio guidance are not “extra features.” They are basic user needs.

It feels like the app was designed without thinking about how people actually work out. When your hands are on the mat, your body is moving, and your focus is on form, the app should guide you, not force you to keep checking the screen every few seconds.

Honestly, this is poor UX. Basic workout flow, basic accessibility, basic audio feedback, and basic user convenience are missing. Very annoying and disappointing.

Decent workouts but misleading billing

The app and workouts are very good. Easy to follow and stick with. However I’d recommend Yoga Works instead for quality and diversity of workouts. The reason for two star review is their very misleading subscription fees. I found out about renewal when my credit company flagged the charge as potential fraud. The app doesn’t list any information about renewal or even payment information to process a renewal. Further the subscription renewal rate at 105$ is an absolute scam. They very heavily push multiple emails a day immediately after signing up for 89$ lifetime access. It feels as if Nord Pilates is set up to do this ghost billing scheme. Again, choose Yoga Works instead, great workouts, customer service and transparent billing.

Negative stars

Very disappointing app/business. The actual program is very rudimentary and needs a lot of improvement. Total rip off and they will charge you an exorbitant subscription fee that you don’t even sign up for and then refuse to refund it. Horrible experience

1st day

As with any new routine, things were a little awkward. I especially did not care for the timing of each workout so what I did was pause each workout and performed it to my own time usually to the count of eight or count of 10 I think I will continue that going forward. Other than that, I enjoyed the routines and the feeling of accomplishment with each session. Thanks.

Day 1 Good gentle start

This was easy to follow even without precious pilates exercise. I didn’t like being set up on a subscription with a coach — without my permission.

Great exercises, but needs sound

I am enjoying the exercises so far, however, it seems quite difficult to follow when there are no verbal instructions or audible countdown clock. How do you know how long to do each set without being glued to your device, which is virtually impossible while bending, turning, and stretching.

Awesome stretching

I had both shoulders replaced lat year. These are all stretches that challenge me. Day 1

Definite rip-off - BUYER BEWARE

I purchased the trial subscription, downloaded the app and was totally disappointed in the workouts. Therefore I deleted my account in the app, mistakenly assuming this would cancel the automatic renewal! Not only was I charged for a complete month of unusable workouts, I was informed that my deletion of the account in the app did NOT constitute cancellation and no refund would occur. Needless to say, the company needs to update their policy and clarify how to cancel.

No sound!

How do you have a workout video without sound? Such a crock!

Do not use

This app charged me £79 with no prior communication. Do not sign up as their support email wasn’t interested in resolving the issue. UK law says they must tell you before they take funds from you but they didn’t and they don’t appear to even care
