Calls don’t reach your phone
I’d been using number barn for years, then one day it stopped working.
I use the service for my business. Some calls make it through, some don’t and that’s the biggest problem because most people probably don’t even realize half the calls aren’t coming through. I only find out when I have angry customers yell at me.
For a year and a half every month or so I have to contact NumberBarn support. They tell me “great news! We’ve fixed your issue!” It’s never been fixed. It improves for a day or two then regresses.
It does confirm that it’s a number barn issue, because they are able to improve performance in the short term. I don’t know what’s going on over there but it feels like they are intentionally diverting resources from my line at certain times of the day or after a certain amount of time since my last complaint.

Cannot log in even with correct credentials
Useless
This app is completely useless. You cannot login with your credentials with the app. You can only use the web browser.

NumberBarn is great. App is awful
There are so many bugs with the app (though the website is not any better). It’s really too bad because the service they offer is great. But since it doesn’t work I have to find another provider.

Notifications please!
Love the price for the service, but I really need notifications from the app for SMS messages for this to be a functional option!

Thanks for your feedback! We definitely hear you on the need for push notifications in our app. Hopefully, you saw that we do offer email notifications. But we do realize that's not the same and will consider this for a future release.

The app would almost be amazing if notifications were a thing. Also, the minor bugs with attachments. Overall, service is awesome!

Neglected by Developers
Can’t even log in. Says username or password not found with same credentials that work in the website. Review from 2 years ago describes this same problem. NumberBarn should remove this app from the app store if they are not supporting it.
Cannot get to forwarding or voicemail anymore
I cannot get the tabs to show voicemail or forwarding anymore.
Just a web browser
This app is simply a web browser restricted to the NumberBarn website, which makes it pointless. I'd rather just use my own browser. Nothing against the company, customer service, etc.

Good app, but need notification options
I’ve had this app for awhile now. The pricing is good for you my purposes, but I’d like to use it more. To do so, I need notifications, and a way to answer a call.
Fond of the service but app is unstable on a 12 mini
I’ve used theService for years. I’m very fond of it. The App Store works fine on my iPad, or as well as it ever has, but it’s not stable on my new iPhone mini
Time for Update
Hi NumberBarn, I love your service because it’s inexpensive and works. However, as I use it more I’m going to need some updates to the app. 1) Notifications - for calls, messages, etc. 2) VOIP calling. They’re available on the website, now it’s time for the app. Please and thank you!

UPDATED REVIEW IN 2021

The one thing that I really need is SMS notifications without constantly checking the NumberBarn website. Unfortunately this old, outdated app doesn’t do that anymore since it hasn’t been updated in FIVE YEARS!
And with the last update to the NumberBarn app being four five ago, I think that it’s safe to say that the NumberBarn app has been abandoned. It’s such a shame because the actual NumberBarn service is fantastic!

Excellent customer service
Their customer service team went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. They were consistent in touching base with me and I didn’t have to wait for replies. They sent me emails to ensure my port away went smoothly as we had some issues on the next carriers end. All is well and I’m very happy with this service provided. Notification of SMS is missing
The app would need to be reworked. It has the essential but the #1 missing function is to be notified of incoming SMS.
