Works perfectly well
App is great. Can book tickets for buses trains and trams. It’s easy to book reservations and you can see which seats are free on the train ahead of schedule. The journey planner is super easy to use. Payments were easy using Apple Pay. Overall great for a holiday in Austria.

App looks like from 1990, booked online and can’t even retrieve ticket on it - just a useless choking app :/

War früher recht gut. Aber jetzt haben die ein „Bot“ Check eingebaut - und App ist unbrauchbar geworden. Etliche Fehlmeldungen trotz App selber sagt Alles ok. Schade, es war früher empfehlungswert. Jetzt gefährlich (mann verliert Zug weil App nicht erlaubt zu zahlen trotz Check ok)

Expected so much more
Ease of booking was good. No text alerts to changes in schedule. Minutes on my train running 45 minutes late. Translations only worked on some pages. Expected the level of DB app but got much less

Absolutely disgusting! I almost never ever write reviews let alone bad ones but this one needs one!
It tell you took book, when I book I book everything all good then AFTER not before AFTER I book and PAY it comes with a human verification box, it then glitches and says it’s unsuccessful even though the verification bot says “success”, so now I have to go to chase them up on money I paid for a train ticket that I didn’t get!

Wenn Züge verspätet sind, bitte die neue Ankunftszeit für den Filter verwenden! Beispiel: Wenn ein Zug statt um 8:00 erst um 8:45 fährt und ich um 8:30 nachschauen will, sollte ich nicht auf “Frühere Züge” tippen müssen bloß weil die ursprüngliche Abfahrtszeit vor 8:30 war. Das ist so nervig, v.a. weil die Züge ja ständig Verspätungen haben.

Unable to pay with credit cart
I was unable to pay the ticket with credit card nor Apple Pay. Even Revolut card was rejected. Only option which worked was using PayPal to pay.
Its a scam!!!
Dont buy it, its take mine money and dont give it back or mine tickets

通过app预订长途列车座位竟然分配到一个完全不存在的车厢，我支付了预订费却只能两个多小时在明显超售极其拥挤的车厢里站着，列车工作人员也在面对问题时极其缺乏耐心且完全不负责任
I bought a ticket in the app Fall of 2025 and now it rejects my Visa card.
So I deleted the app, logged back in, and had the same problem. So I deleted my Visa card thinking I could enter a new one during purchase and it refuses to complete the payment process. I bought the ticket on the Swiss train app instead. ÖBB needs to fix their app!
Works fine for me 2026
Used in 2026 with no issues. Both for (1) tickets purchased from a computer and accessed from the app, and (2) tickets purchased through the app. (Note: I was paying with a card from an Austrian bank). All worked smoothly for me.
Won’t let me lay
Unable pay for booked trips. I tried Apple Pay, my Cc and my friends CC from a major bank. Then when you go back a page, everything is erased and you have to start over. I tried everything including the website. I have been all over Europe and never had this issue. Please just

This app is awful. When you try to pay for the tickets nothing works. Apple Pay doesn’t, typing in your card doesn’t. I almost missed my train because I had to go buy a ticket in person as this horrible app doesn’t work. Please fix it

You have to type the entire name of station not a single error to find a station. Can’t you auto select a section based on location
Polished and professional
I was having an issue with making a payment but my friend was able to buy the ticket on his phone for me. When he removed the extra ticket from his app it showed up on my app. Overall the app feels polished. I just wished the payment worked for me.
