About

A settler founds a city by a river. Eight eras later there is an empire standing there, or ruins. OBELISK is a turn-based 4X strategy game built from the ground up for iPhone and iPad. Found cities, sharpen your technology, and steer between eleven rival civilizations toward one of five victories: conquest, science, culture, diplomacy or religion. A game runs an hour or two; the Grand Chronicle mode becomes an epic played over days of saved turns. New to 4X? The game points out what this turn still needs, and when you are stuck, auto-play takes one turn for you and shows what it did and why. All of it can be switched off in the settings. No ads, no purchases, no server. Buy it once and it is all yours, and your saves never leave your device.

Unit controls, fixed. - With a unit selected, tapping another of your units now selects it. Before, the selected unit walked over to it - Stacked units show a count on their banner; tap the tile again to step through them - Tapping units on hills now picks the unit under your finger - Tapping a tile out of reach this turn first shows the route and arrival turn; a multi-turn march starts only after you tap Order march - Moving to a tile across a river no longer stops the unit on a different tile - The To Do button now walks you through every idle unit before turning into End Turn, and shows how many units are still without orders - The unit card now shows its current order, such as Auto-exploring or Marching, with a Stop button. Active order buttons are highlighted and turn off when tapped again - Auto now plays exactly one turn and no longer leaves units moving on their own afterwards
