Good stuff

A lot of great detail in here and laid out well. Really appreciate and value the locally stored respect for privacy this app puts forward. Also offering a lifetime purchase option vs only a reoccurring subscription for the additional insights and analytics is always the right move imo. We’ll see post free trial how much is paywalled vs not, can’t quite tell but think it’s mainly some graphs.

My only feedback is when opening the app, on my iphone 13, i feel like it lags and takes a moment to process maybe in the background as everything on the screen is loaded.

Hi, Thank you for the thoughtful review! I'm glad the privacy-first, on-device approach and the lifetime option resonates :) On the lag at launch: that's Observa syncing your HealthKit data in the background right when the app opens, and on an iPhone 13 that can be noticeable for a moment. I am actively working on smoothing out that startup experience so the UI feels responsive right away, even while sync finishes behind the scenes. Appreciate you taking the time to write this up, thanks again :)

Nothing to see without $ LogIn

Thought: if you’re serious about pulling users, lose the “try it” hassles. I’m not doing a “7-day free trial” under a one-year commitment. Let us see it in action, all of it, or go away. Use your coding prowess to allow no-fuss 7-days of usage, with the app shutting down thereafter. Otherwise, I deduce the obvious: you didn’t get to that particular vibe coding chapter yet.

Appreciate the candor. But one correction: Observa was always usable without a trial or subscription, and always will be. Daily scores, dashboards, 7-day trends and your daily coaching note are free, no account needed. Premium only adds the deeper long-term analysis. You did have a point about the friction, though, so it's changed: the full feature set is now unlocked for your first 7 days, no commitment, then it settles back into the free tier, which stands on its own just fine. Worth another look, if that's what you were after.
