Kinda problematic they allow you to strict-block without setting an app, which combined with some of the other features, can be sort of a phone breaking feature. But the Detox feature is great!

one sec has been almost life-changing. It used to be one of my most opened apps because it interrupted all the times I tried to doomscroll! I love this app and it was so helpful. Setting it up, takes a little bit of work, but it was so worth it! My screen time has gone down significantly, and I have so much better boundaries on my screen usage. Every time the topic of looking at your phone too much comes up in conversation, I always recommend this app!

Too expensive
I would totally pay $1.60 or whatever it is a month. But that’s not an option. You have to pay for a year up front which is $19.99 a year. Most people are not gonna want to pay $20 bucks for something, they would much rather be allowed to pay 1.60 something a month. You’d probably make more money with this app if you offered more flexible and realistic payment options. Cuz it’s a great concept. But yeah way too much up front cost.

Just Basic
The app fundamentally lacks essential features, such as the ability to insert images or media directly from the photo library, relying solely on the camera. Additionally, the built-in text editor is quite limited in functionality, and there appears to be no way to delete images once they are added.
Non-Functional
They will happily accept your money for a subscription, but will not respond when you report an error via email. Do not recommend.
Greatest ever
I love this app. I used it for quite a long time for college because I was procrastinating by going on social media so much. At some point I ended up having to delete it because I was finding work arounds but have finally downloaded it again because I get so sucked into instagram daily. One sec my goat. I tried using opal for a change of pace but immediately got annoyed with how it is set up and came back to one sec.

Works
Sometimes I delete this because I get pissy about waiting 30 seconds to scroll, only to discover that I’m totally cooked without it.
Took away features for free users
Guess I’m too poor to benefit from an app like this. Raising the price and taking away options I already had is insulting. I genuinely enjoyed this app until it stopped allowing me to use it without paying a large recurring fee. Sad.
Massively useful app and great devs
This app is great for controlling my problematic social media use and when I pointed out an issue I hit, the devs communicated closely and fixed it!
Doesn’t work sometimes
Sometimes it just doesn’t open and skips the screen and goes to the app

That’s a fair point. A stronger option is to have someone you trust set a Screen Time passcode and disable deleting apps in the iOS Screen Time restrictions. This prevents you from simply deleting one sec in a weak moment. If you need help setting it up, email us at support@one-sec.app.
good until they got greedy
this really helps, keeps you from opening the apps instinctively and if I set the intro time really long I usually just get irritated and give up on opening the app. However the free version now only lets you have it configured for one app which is just ridiculous. Having app switching locked behind the subscription was already enough as that was super irritating and would’ve been worth paying money for.

We’re sorry you can’t block all the apps you want. If you select apps individually, Apple’s Screen Time system limits a block to 50 apps. Using categories lets you cover more apps at once. If you’re seeing a different issue, please email support@one-sec.app with your iOS version so we can help.
Expensive
Don’t get me wrong, this is a great concept! I love all the features, it’s a life saver for stopping this kind of addiction. But… a lot of the features including main ones advertised require a subscription. $20 a year or $1.66 a month is not bad for a subscription, but in my opinion not something I’d pay for an app. Once again, great concept, but quite expensive.

Might as well look up shortcuts
This app is not worth the money. You basically have to do everything yourself and it is essentially just a container for some explainer videos on how to use shortcuts. And, worst of all, it didn’t even work after I went through the steps. Avoid this app!
Worth every penny!
This is the only app that has truly had an impact on reducing my doom scrolling and I’m so grateful!
