What's New in OneThought
1.3.0
May 9, 2026
The biggest update to OneThought yet — your journal becomes a real book can flip through. PAGE-CURL BOOK PREVIEW Generate your Journal Book and tap to read it like a real hardback — pages curl as you swipe, the same animation Apple Books uses. Cover photo, title, colour and typography all flow through to the printed PDF. JOURNAL BOOK REDESIGN A new designer experience for building your book — a tilted hero cover preview at the top, stat tiles for entries / words / span, and dedicated cards for every option (title, cover photo, style, colour, typography). The Generate button now uses your chosen accent colour for a cohesive feel. Tap the cover preview to inspect it at full size. COVER PHOTO FIX Picked a cover photo and got a black page in the exported PDF? Fixed. We now embed the cover via PDFKit so it renders correctly in iOS Files, Quick Look, Mail, AirDrop, and any third-party PDF reader. ON THIS DAY — FROM DAY ONE The "On this day" section on Today no longer waits a year before showing anything. New users see real photos taken on today's date in past years, pulled from your photo library. Tap a card to start a journal entry pre-filled with that photo. Once you've built up entries from past years on this date, those take priority. EXTRA POLISH • Voice entries • Generate PDF throttles double-taps • Long entry titles now wrap correctly in the printed PDF • Memory footprint when generating large books is significantly smaller PRIVACY, AS ALWAYS Everything stays on your iPhone. Your photos never leave the device. Entries sync via iCloud only if you turn it on. No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Thanks for making OneThought a part of your daily reflection.
