Clinics
I just downloaded this and was “assigned” to a clinic that I’ve never brought our pets to. There doesn’t appear to be an option to remove or change this.
Apple: please let me leave 0 stars
I wonder how many animals this app/system has led to the death of.
Two fatal flaws:
1. It ARCHIVES conversations inappropriately. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve explained something in detail in a message to my vet, and then Otto archived it randomly and the vet is like “Uhhh I’m not sure what you’re talking about” and then I have to explain it again. Other times, it does it in the middle of a conversation. It doesn’t help that when I expressed frustration over this, my vet’s office was like “Sometimes we archive things; sometimes the app does it. If you want a better experience? Call us on the phone.”
2. It MERGES conversations—doesn’t let you have multiple conversations with the vet going at once. It has happened to me numerous times. Each time I complain to my vet and say “Please don’t forget the first thread!” and every time they forget. Nightmare. For example, earlier today I started a chat with my vet sending a video that shows my cat might be having a seizure. They need to leave the conversation open, so that the woman at the desk can get my vet to look at it/respond to it tomorrow (there’s a low probability she’ll remember—but that’s not an Otto problem). Then, I started a SEPARATE conversation tonight asking them to confirm that each of my cats received 4 very specific tests—and Otto MERGED THIS into the other conversation!!! So then I sent a message to my vet begging them to not forget the first topic, about the video. I said, “Since Otto can’t stay organized, I hope you guys can.” (Again, they forget every time, so…)
Also, is it just my vet’s setup, or does Otto not have a section for viewing your pets’ medical records period? Insanity.
Shame on this terrible thing. I posted this on Google Reviews, too. And I will probably leave a similar review mentioning Otto on Google Reviews for my vet. And I may stop going to this vet.

Customer account access
I currently reached out to the customer support team for this app regarding my information being on two different help a parent of mine and my grandparent accounts to schedule appointments for their pets them to their pets and to have communication with the vet. One of my local clinics is a provider through this app. Up until the recent updates I haven’t had a problem this for two different accounts to help family as I stated.
But they are making it difficult to keep both accounts open under my information .
I helped my family members make these appointments and tech their pets to these appointments. Haven’t had trouble up until these recent updates with keeping up with both. But now they are trying to make me choose which account to have access to more. That’s unfair.
I won’t be recommending this app to anyone else I know.

awful
i left my vet for making me use this absolutely awful app. no support whatsoever and the app functionality is a joke. absolutely useless support. these guys need to be kicked off the app store.
Useless
No button for making appointments, no button for starting conversations.
Works sometimes
I put in an order for a med for my dog and it worked fine. Now when I try to go back in to see the response, I just get a blank white screen. This happens frequently and I end up having to call the vet office. So where is the convenience?
Great concept, poor execution
This app is a great concept but I would not consider it a final product by any means. It could be such an effective communication bridge between client and patient but just falls short.
If you are lucky enough to launch into the app and not the white screen of death, you will most certainly experience unhandled errors.
The user experience is poor at best.
Not sure how this app has such high ratings? Bot farm perhaps?

Terrible App
My vet uses this app, but it is really terrible. I took one of my dogs to the emergency vet once and they also use this app. Now I cannot access my regular vet information, I only get the emergency vet information.
Cannot access
I downloaded the Otto app but when I try to open, I get a blank screen.
Got good
Appt notification glitches and it’s irritating when I don’t get them!
This app is bad and barely works
I never write reviews, but this app is so ridiculously bad I had to say something. It barely ever works properly, often crashing if it even starts to begin with. It's clunky, hard to use, and inconsistent. I have no idea why vet apps are bad across the board, but this is no exception.
Blank screen
I was trying to find a pathology report on my pet and was not sure where to look on this app but when I checked in one place and nothing was there but a blank screen I could not get out of it. I am even having trouble with this review. I first could not get to the review after typing Blank Screen on the title and decided to take that out and finally got to the subject. Now having trouble getting the curser to title. This is not ready for prime time.

Blank blank blank
This app doesn’t work most of the time. It takes you to a blank white page and you can’t get out. I’ve deleted resubmitted reset my phone. It doesn’t matter what you do most of the time it does not work. I am unable to do anything with this app. I cannot send or retrieve messages, make an appointment — I’m not sure why we have to switch to Otto. I think all the vets out there using making their clients Otto are being scammed because this app is nothing but frustration .This app is a dud. I am seriously considering switching vets so that I don’t have to use Otto.

Blank screen
When I select an option (I.e. request refill). App goes to blank white screen. Uninstalled & reinstalled app with no success.
Blank screen and no notifications
When switching to this app after it has been running in the background for long enough, it opens with a blank white screen and has to be killed and restarted to function. It’s been this way for months.
Additionally, I no longer get any notifications from the app despite having all notification options in the app enabled as well as having notifications enabled for the app in iOS’ Settings app.

Silly no button for “Request an appt!
There should be a button to select “Request Appt”. You should not have to start a “conversation”. Seems limited. Both can do same think but it’s just not obvious you have start conversation to make appt. Maybe put with the notification from vet that my pet is due… if they are telling me he’s due for a shot, I should be able to select “schedule Appt to bring up to date”!
I’m sure there is a good reason but they can correct easily.

App works less than half the time
I have had this app for a good number of months. It works less than half the time. So very frustrating. Great concept, poor execution.
Horrible communication tool
My dog was recently spayed and ended up with an infection (inside). In trying to communicate with my vet, Otto kept closing out conversations. I contacted them multiple times every day for a week, but had to keep starting new conversations because I couldn’t respond to existing ones. The vet was constantly missing concerns and didn’t realize how long she was having problems because the conversations kept closing, until she got so bad she had to be hospitalized. They just now responded to a question from last week - from before my dog was hospitalized (way too late). Otto is a horrible communication tool that I would not recommend to anyone who wants to keep their pet alive.

An App for Clinics, not Patients
I’m sure this app is pretty useful for the vet clinics, but I find it frustrating as a pet owner. When I had notifications turned on the only notifications I got was an obscene amount of appointment reminders. But I received no notifications of messages sent from my vet and the office staff. The amount of medical information on here is limited and you can only see an active conversation between you and the clinic. All of the other conversations disappear once they’re archived. I’m required to have this app for my dog to be a patient, or else I’d delete it.
