Mrs. T.

The doctors are good, but team communication is really bad. Unless you are doing nothing and seating on your phone 24/7.
Your animal will die before you get your medication. If you are a busy person, just go directly to the doctor. Your communication with the team will take all your time, that you can use for work or getting done some other tasks.
I loved the doctor and was so happy for some savings. But if you do not get your meds or if it takes 2-3 weeks to get them all the doctor’s work is pointless.
Extremely disappointing .

Unconscionable Price Gauging

My dog had diarrhea while traveling and I had spent two nights getting up every two hours. He’s a very healthy young dog so I knew I probably just needed some meds. Talked with a vet. She basically confirmed he was fine and just needed som meds to calm his tummy and stop the diarrhea. She said I would get a visit summary and I could have the meds mailed to my hotel. I waited all day for the visit summary and a confirmation that meds are on the way. Fed him chicken and rice as I had been to help make the situation better. But he started having diarrhea again late at night. Headed to the ER to get meds. Took 15 minutes and another $300 (on top of the $100 I paid on vetster). Got the meds and my dog and I finally got some sleep. Next morning I finally get the visit summary and the prescription for the meds. Turns out that the same “prescription meds” are available at many different stores around the country for $29 when this vetster vet wanted to charge me $90 some bucks for the EXACT same medication…same exact packing, same exact ingredients, same exact strength. WOW…I know vet care is a business but come on. This is just not right! $102 for a 10-15 minute call with a vet that helped me zero and then had to wait 24 hours to get a script I didn’t even need. I would rather pay more to see an emergency vet and get help right away and get some sleep for me and my lovely doggo 😊🙏🏻

FAQ

What is Vetster?

Vetster is an app that connects pet owners with licensed veterinarians for 24/7 online consultations. You can get advice, diagnoses, and even prescriptions for your pet from the comfort of your home through secure video appointments.

What kind of pet issues can Vetster help with?

Vetster vets can assist with a wide range of issues including skin problems, ear infections, digestive upset, urinary issues, eye problems, breathing difficulties, limping, injuries, and concerns about ingestion of harmful substances.

How much does Vetster cost?

Creating a Vetster account is free. You can book single appointments or opt for an ongoing care plan for $10 per month. Specific appointment costs are not detailed but are implied to be separate from the monthly plan.

What happens during a Vetster appointment?

During your appointment, you'll connect with a licensed veterinarian or veterinary technician via video chat. They will ask about your pet's health history, examine them visually, and discuss potential diagnoses and next steps, which may include prescriptions or at-home treatment advice.

Can I get prescriptions through Vetster?

Yes, where available, Vetster's virtual veterinarians can provide prescriptions for medication. The vet will determine if a prescription is appropriate based on your pet's condition and diagnosis during the video consultation.
