Not What It Promises

I subscribed to OTTplay because it claims to provide access to multiple OTT platforms under one subscription, which sounds like a great concept in theory. The idea of managing and watching all major OTT apps in one place is convenient and appealing.

However, in practice, the experience has been disappointing.

One of the key platforms included in their offering is SonyLIV, and it simply does not work properly through the app. Despite SonyLIV being listed as part of the subscription benefits, the content either doesn’t load or fails to function as promised. This completely defeats the purpose of buying a bundled subscription.

If an app markets itself on the promise of “all OTTs in one place” and specifically includes SonyLIV in its promotional material, then it should ensure seamless functionality. Customers are paying with the expectation that every listed service will work smoothly. When a major platform doesn’t function even after purchasing the subscription, it feels misleading.

The concept is excellent. The execution is not.

Until all promised platforms—especially SonyLIV—work reliably within the app, I would advise potential subscribers to think carefully before purchasing.

Your OTT Play app is actually pretty good, but sometimes even after subscribing, it keeps asking for subscription again—like we’ve already recharged, yet it says “subscribe once more,” and it becomes a huge hassle. For two days my OTT Play app wasn’t working properly, it only started running fine today, on the third day.

Very good. Platform amazing

Good for discovering new stuff across platforms, but wow it's slow sometimes. Keeps suggesting reality TV even though I hate it. Search is frustrating. Too many random notifications. Great concept that needs better execution.

I was skeptical about consolidated streaming apps, but OTT Play proved me wrong. The interface is clean, responsive, and doesn't feel cluttered despite having so many channels. My favorite feature is how seamlessly it switches between different platforms. Hotstar content loads just as smoothly as Zee5 - brilliant engineering

Very Useful

This app saved my entertainment budget! Instead of maintaining separate subscriptions for Hotstar, SonyLIV, Zee5, and others, I get everything through OTT Play. The interface is so smooth that I often forget I'm using a third-party app - it feels native and responsive

Fraud and unprofessional company

I canceled my subscription one week before but this guys deduct the amount from my account and I called them and there asking me share cancel sms . But this fraud company not sending any cancel sms and in application also I don’t see any cancel option . Disgusting app . Be aware of this type of fraud application and government should take action on this type of companies and they have not mentioned customer care number also in application. You will never grow and one day you will close your company.

Worst Customer service

Worst customer service
I got autopay request continuously twice. by mistake i made payment both the times. When i called customer support regarding this they said yes we have received double payment, no need to worry you get ur refund in 2/3 days. But unfortunately no refund came. so i did mail to support team, and now the team is saying they haven’t received any payment from my side.. so funny naa. My Ott subscription is active and i am using it still they are saying payment not received once also😑

Pathetic app, please refund my money

The app experience is really pathetic. Keeps hanging out and there’s no specific error messages as well. I request you to refund my money back immediately.

Fraud company

I have cancelled subscription from ott play app one day before renewal but on the very day of renewal it gets re subscribed by itself and my money got deducted, I also tried to cancel subscription from payment app where cancellation messed is unableto send. I have talked to customer care of ott play app they gave me no solution, i also talked to bank they told me to block upi payments. So once you subscribed ott play app there is no option to unsubscribe. it is totally fraud app, don’t go for it. further more when tou unsubscribe ott play app from app itself then once you will recieve otp message for cancellation but no confirmation mesaage of cancellation after sumitting your action of unsubscription through otp, and even the otp message gets deleted by itself.

Misleading subscription & unfair charges

I canceled my OTTPlay subscription well before renewal using the iOS app, yet my card was still charged. Support claims cancellation is only valid via browser, not app or Safari — a dark pattern to trap users. Despite canceling, I was told I’m not eligible for a refund. Their customer care is quick to help if you want a subscription, but if you want to cancel, they don’t support you. If an issue arises, they ask for an email, which they never reply to, or when they do, they refuse refunds. I followed up for 3 months, checking every 15 days, but they kept ignoring me. Many other users report the same. The app also avoids Apple’s in-app payments to bypass safeguards. Apple should investigate and take strict action against these unfair practices.

Messed Up Auto Cancel Subscription

I had a automatic subscription and wanted to cancel it. I had to call the help line and then took me 15 mins to cancel the subscription. They made me click minimum 10 clicks before I could cancel the subscription. Then they made me write a 100 worded reason to cancel it. You cannot cancel until you write 100 words. Who makes a customer do that man? This is clearly an ill practice to ensure we don’t cancel auto subscription. I will never subscribe to this ott ever again. Worst user experience ever.

Worst app ever

I purchased the premium on this platform but it doesn’t work especially to watch Ayyana Mane why is it only for this web series is it just because of the language or any other most of users have commented regarding this on there social media handle but it no response for them then why do you ask the users to get premium subscription isn’t it a real scam from your end. I really need refund for the hard earned money I spent on the premium subscription.
I definitely don’t want to give even a 1 star rating also.

99% downtime, No Customer Support, but on time money deduction

1. First month was good but second month as soon as they deducted 299 rupees everything stopped working from day one
2. I am a computer engineer so I tried to resolve everything from my end but nothing worked.
3. I called the customer care they asked me to mail them the issue.
4. After multiple reminders over mail on 4th day they requested my phone number which they could have looked up in their database.
5. It has been more than 7 days now. No response yet. Do yourself a favour stay away from this app.

Poor app and Full of Cheating

OTTplay is a promising idea executed poorly, plagued by a clunky interface, frequent crashes, and an ineffective recommendation system. The app often fails to deliver relevant content, and the search function is unreliable. Despite advertising itself as an all-in-one streaming solution, it merely redirects users to other apps, requiring separate subscriptions, which defeats the purpose of an aggregator. Customer support is slow and unhelpful, making it frustrating to resolve issues. Overall, the experience feels unpolished and unreliable, making it hard to justify using OTTplay over individual streaming platforms.

I'm extremely disappointed with Otttply! The platform's user interface is clunky and outdated. The customer support team is unresponsive and unhelpful. I experienced frequent technical issues, including glitches and errors. The quality of services offered is subpar, and the prices are exorbitant. Overall, my experience with Otttply was frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would not recommend this platform to anyone. One star is even too generous for this substandard service.

Not able to apply coupon

I am not able to apply the coupon i got from my phone purchase despite repeated tries i am not able to find the apply coupon button pls tell me how can i do that

Big fraud company OTT play, big scammers!

I have been trying to cancel my subscription since last 2 days however it does not allow me to cancel. I have also emailed their support team to cancel. They ask you reason to cancel the subscription and to my surprise they made it mandatory to answer that question without which you can’t move ahead. Stupid concept, if someone does not want to pay you more it’s his/ her choice why you forcefully ask questions, have you started considering yourselves above law or fundamental rights of human being. It’s my money and my mind either I cancel your so called pathetic service or not cancel. Please don’t scam people cancel their subscription if they don’t want it anymore. I’m getting the error that I have exceeded OTP limits and need to wait for 24hrs. I completely know that this is a fraud practice, you will keep on exceeding this OTP issue for next 2-3 days and will smartly give the reason that it was not done 2days advance of the next auto debit date. Stop this fraud!!! stop scamming people!!! Cancel my subscription immediately!

Terrible User Experience - Beware of Hidden Unsubscribe Option

I had a very disappointing experience with OTTplay. I subscribed expecting a smooth and user-friendly platform, but I quickly realized that they have hidden their unsubscribe option, making it almost impossible to cancel the service. It's incredibly frustrating to be trapped in a subscription with no clear way out.

The fact that they make it difficult to unsubscribe shows a lack of transparency and poor customer service. It feels like a deliberate attempt to make users stay subscribed against their will. I spent hours trying to find a way to cancel, and I still had to contact support, which only added to the inconvenience.

If you’re thinking of subscribing to OTTplay, beware! There are better platforms out there with far better service and transparency. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone.
