They’ve updated the app and it seems to be working flawlessly now. The team has been making improvements and it shows!
App is extremely flaky
App is unresponsive and when it does work it crashes constantly. This is on iPhone 17 Pro with iOS26.3. So my end is updated.

Please fix this app. Does not keep Bluetooth connection to device. Can’t pick colors on the color wheel. Have to restart it several times to do anything. The old app version was better.
Update 10/24/25: Where is the schedule timer? App works better but lost this function.
Any update to add back the schedule? My lights are on a schedule and I cannot edit this feature anymore. I’m stuck with the old setting.

New update looks great. Unfortunately the app crashes so much intakes me 15 minute to turn on my lights and another 15 messing with the app, deleting and redownloading it just to turn off the lights. Is this app ever going to work properly?

We recently had a beautiful pergola installed. Gorgeous product. Functionally is not great when app stops working and along with the physical remote. The most frustrating part is Outdoor Elements has no idea how to resolve the issues on their end and continue to place blame on the internet…. When the remote doesn’t work as well. Frustrating because we’ve only had the pergola installed for roughly a month.

Frequent disconnects after update
Unable to connect to pergola reliably since this app was updated to support WiFi models also. I have the Bluetooth model and my phone will connect then immediately disconnect since updating. My wife’s app on the other hand continues to work since she has not updated her app. Please fix. Also why is login even required if I’m on Bluetooth only anyway should make that optional

Y’all are just old hags that aren’t able to operate technology like this. Just accept it. This is a great product
Had a glitch but was able to get it fixed
I read the other reviews and I contacted the company directly. They helped me so I was able to get the app to work. Now I can use it for all the cool colors and opening and closing.
Going Downhill
Not sure if this company is even in business after spending tens of thousands on a pergola. Wind lock hasn’t worked in months and no app updates or messages around the issue. With the winds being crazy in Texas, wind lock is critical.

I’ve had my beautiful pergola for almost a year and a half. This app has never functioned properly making the perks of this pergola worthless! You can’t operate it remotely nor from home. Heck, I can barely get it to operate when I’m standing right next to the box. In this day and age, technology of this value is unacceptable, especially when you factor in the price of an expensive quality pergola! Get it together OutdoorElements! I will never recommend your product until this is fixed.

Whoever programmed this app needs to be fired. Connects to box fine but NONE of the functions function. What a great pergola absolutely ruined by its operating system. No recommendations for this product until the OS gets fixed.
