What notifications?
Would love to have notifications but they never come through. Other parents tell me same for them. Pretty annoying if educator trying to communicate with you about your child and you only see it because you have to habitually check the app.
Spam
The app I’m forced to use for daycare is now spamming me with stuff for sale.
Janky Problematic App
Ok when it works but regularly has problems and feels inconsistent and low quality. Too unreliable.
How not to do error handling
Having a button not reacting to anything instead why is it not reacting to anything - at a not really used place as child sign in/out is not considered a good practice pretty much since the 80s.
When signing in a child via pin, there is a signature field. Despite that field the application ask for a signature in the pop up. Where these developer learned programming?!

Needs major improvement
App offers everything I don’t need
The app has many options but trying to connect my account with my child is impossible. There’s no way to delete your account from the app. There’s even a shop but not helpful options to do what it should be doing.
Clunky
I find this ap fine if you have one child attending one centre. If you have multiple children across multiple centres then the ap is clunky. It needs to be streamlined better.
A must have app for parents with kids in childcare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I use the OWNA app for my kids’ childcare centre and it’s been great. I regularly see updates throughout the day such as photos of what my kids are doing and what they’re learning, updates on toileting, meals and sleep times. It gives me the ability to sign them in/out and mark them as absent when I need to without having to call or email the centre along with other functions that are useful. This app makes communication with the centre seamless, quick and reliable. It’s by far the best app I have seen that is used by parents with kids in childcare.

Great mobile app
The Owna mobile app has excellent usability — I’ve never experienced any delays in loading or navigating, and it feels much smoother than other mobile apps I’ve used in the past. It’s super responsive and clearly designed with care. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a few extra features like the ability to mark favorites or pin important items. Overall, a great app!

We get regular updates from our childcare. It’s great that we can check him in and out through the app. We can see his nap times, meals and toilteting!

Easy to navigate
Our outside school hours care centre uses this app and it functions perfectly for our use. Very easy to book sessions, notify absences and complete permission slips as needed. Very useful to be able to sign children in and out if there is a line up for the in-centre station.
Terrible user experience
UI is all over the place, illogical user flow, terrible user experience. Has a shop for some reason? The designers need to return to basic user centred design principles - watch someone trying to use this app and you’ll soon see the flaws.
Best childcare app
Really impressed with the new app at our daycare centre. It’s made notifying absences and sharing information so much easier.
Works as expected!
The app is simple, straight forward and does what it says it will do. Notifications are easy to follow and well organised. Action categories are neat and logical as well as activity monitoring. Simple and easy and one of the better daycare apps I’ve used out in the market. Thank you!
The worst
This would have to be one of the worst apps I have ever used. Pages constantly freeze, don’t work or crash, information disappears, and it is not user friendly. I can’t wait till I don’t have to use it. Very disappointed.

Could be better. Disappointing that they offer incentives for reviews. Shame I couldn’t get the much needed incentive though.
All Star Kids
I am so happy with this App as I can sign in my two granddaughters in the car before I unbuckle them from their car seats and walk them in. As I have a walker it helps to have them already signed and not block the entrance when signing in and out.
To get to see my granddaughters in play and being constructive in class is an amazing blessing.
We get to view their meals planed and read about their activities during the day.
It also informs me of upcoming events and excursions for the girls so I can prepare the girls.

Love this app
Our child care centre uses this app to keep communication going between us parents and the centre. When my daughter started care it was a tricky start as she was quiet upset leaving her- but the centre would update me with photos and a message each day telling me when she settled and all the fun she was having!
