First time using it and the last time
Signed up and reserved a hotel. When I got there, the air conditioning kept beeping as it changed between fan speeds. Automatically, there were pubic hairs and yellow spots on the off-white sheets sheets. I called support several times. In the end, there was no follow up and no resolution.
Misleading listing and zero accountability
Booked a 2-night stay through the app, and it turned out to be one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had. The room was filthy, with dirty linens, faulty plumbing, and none of the amenities advertised on the app—no TV, no Wi-Fi, and no parking.
To make matters worse, I had no choice but to spend the first night in those conditions and park my car nearly 300 meters away on the roadside beside a highway. When I contacted customer support, I had to call twice, spend over 30 minutes on the phone, and submit multiple photos as evidence. Despite all that, the best resolution offered was a 30% OYO credit.
The support team’s commitment to resolving the issue was even more disappointing than the condition of the room itself. I rejected the offer, checked out early, and left with a valuable lesson: never trust OYO’s listings at face value. I certainly won’t be booking with them again and would caution friends and family to think twice before doing so.
