This app is trash
This is the most awful app. The user experience is beyond awful and never works. This has the functionality of an app created for an iPhone 3.
Poor Design and terrible function
Got the PAL setup with our pool installation and constantly have to reconnect the system to the WiFi. Outside of the connectivity issues, the app is not intuitive (often counter-intuitive) or user friendly in the least. As a tech nerd with a complete smart home, I shutter to think of others trying to use this. I would recommend that you strongly consider other pool lighting brands. As far as the products (lights), they work fine (with the remote) and light the pool nicely.

Horrible! Does not work with automation such as Alexa
Horrible app! It does control the lights from your iPhone but you can not have them automated through Alexa like the developer says.

This worked great in 2022, although the app itself is a bit clunky.
This year, the app would connect to my system but none of the built in software remotes would do anything. My physical hand-held remote worked, just now the software remote.
Looking at all apps from this developer, I found the “latest” app which is called “Waterco Britestream” and I thought what the heck. So I installed it and it found my system. I tapped on it and it automatically opened up the right remote and it worked!
So if you’re having issues, dump this old app and try the new one!

Doesn’t work
No luck. I’m guessing by the age of this app, it hasn’t kept up with iOS updates and simply no longer works.

Won’t pair, no instructions. App doesn’t work, our remote doesn’t work. Our light just stays white. It’s junk so not pay for this light.
AWFUL!
We purchased this stupid system. The pool company was never able to connect it to WiFi. We have to manually go to electric box and turn our pool on. Can’t get help from company because nobody ever answers the song at the North American office. Sent emails and never get responses. The pool company abandoned our project and now we are stuck with a system that does not work! Oh by the way!, never use Aloha Pools in Jackson Tennessee!!! They took $250,000 from us and never finished our project. We are now having to purchase everything and do it ourself. Do not purchase the system as they do not work they are cheesy, do not come with manuals, do not have customer support, and the Wi-Fi system will never connect. Just pathetic!!!

rarely ever works, may get it to operate for a couple of seconds of that, sad that something that’s costs so much money has an app that does not work
Need A manual
I found instructions here and there then lost them. My main use of this App is to set a timer. I found that you hold the ON button to configure to the timer. It works great. Any instructions would by welcome. Great products and app with no instructions. What gives Pal lighting and developer!
Waste of time and money
Should be zero stars. App does not work. Timer can’t be found, let alone edited. The timer function can be called up, but it doesn’t function. They talked me through setup over the phone once and had it going, but now the light goes on way late and goes off way late and there’s no way to change the timer and there are no online instructions. Repeat — you can’t find instructions. I would expect something on the manufacturer’s website, but there’s nothing. The light was a very expensive piece of gear and I wish we’d bought something that works like it’s supposed to.

Love, love, love this app. We just installed a new pool with all PAL lighting (8 zones worth). In a single app I can control all the zones, set a new color with one touch, change brightness, and go through light shows.
To me the ability to dim the lights is HUGE and not something Pentair offers. The app allows you to do this very easily. I’m not sure why this got some bad reviews earlier but maybe they have fixed the bugs.
Note, it does take a little time to properly synch the lights to the app but once you get it going it works awesome.

This was a total waste of money
I bought the pool light to use with my smartphone and it does not work!!! Why do you sell products that don’t work

This app works just like the remote. Great to have in case you don’t have the remote close; as most usually have their phone close by.
