Major issues
I can no longer get our newest card readers to work through the apps. Before most recent iOS update and pay anywhere update they worked. Now nothing will take a payment.
The only reader we now have is the last one we used before the new white ones. Please resolve this issue.

I would not recommend this app it’s been a pain trying to contact the customer service and they have my money on hold. I called and was on the phone for over 2 hours with people who barely spoke English and sent an email and still haven’t been able to get the money I would suggest square or anything else. They say they’ll get back to you and email you just to get you off the phone then never do

Scammers
I used this app/company since 2012. They were great until 2025. They started charging a ridiculous annual fee. I canceled my business with them and they still charged me the annual fee. They refuse to refund it. Worst customer service. Wish I could leave zero stars

I will remove the review once I have my equipment and money I have processed. You are currently holding my money and will not deposit it and you charged me for a reader I never received saying you never charged me. My bank says otherwise. I will not recommend you or proceed with cc payments until this is resolved. Horrible effort and professionalism by your staff as well.

Doesn’t Work
I been using this app for about 6 months now and all I can say is Thank God I didn’t remove my Square app because I would have been dead in the water with CC sales. The card reader has only worked once but I had the tap to pay until about month ago the tap to pay would work off and on. I have restarted the app many times update both my iphone16 pro and app.
Sent 2.5 hours with tech to get Tap to Pay working before a big event this weekend - get to the event and NOT WORKING ! Had a new card reader sent to me bc old one would work ( connected) but would not read cards. New one comes - charge to 100% and still won’t read a card.
I am done! Really wanted this to work as I hate paying all the fees with Square.

Last two versions are going downhill FAST…tooo slow…toooo many denials… toooo much work to type in every card!!! Fix it or I switch!
Backwards company
I go through the application process with a sales rep, get approved, they send me the hardware etc. after processing my first two payments, the company closed my account. Nothing but a huge waste of time and money with this shady company.

Esta aplicación te miente y te hacen firmar un contrato sin decirte y después para salir tienes que pagar como 800 dólares esto no sirve

As far as credit card apps are considered this is my far the first one there is. I highly suggest trying go payments or any other card app first before using this product.
Customer service is absolutely horrible. Their fees are ridiculous. Their entire online platform is extremely slow and pretty much useless. Good luck trying to resolve any issues with this horrible company.
When you’re not satisfied with their service, they tell you there’s a cancellation fee. They tell you there is no contract. Shame on this company.

Don’t do it!!
This is the worst service I’ve ever dealt with. From customer service to them holding MY money for 6 months because in their words “they can”. There are many other services out there. I recommend you choose one of them.
Using for 3 years everyday
I use this with my business every single day, and there’s always an issue with the tap to pay! Almost every transaction I need to disable a card readers or enter their card manually due to a pay anywhere error. I have 12+ iPhones using this app and each one has this issue. Please fix!

Aggravating!!
I have been with PayAnywhere since 2014. Loved it for years. However, I am very frustrated lately with the service. Login on my Desktop is often slow and I'm constantly getting "error " messages when trying to process a card. I was ecstatic when they introduced the "Tap to Pay" on Apple devices. When it works, it's great, but it won't initialize 95% of the time. This is absurd. I will be looking elsewhere for a payment system.

Company is a scam
They will sign you up and then make it impossible to cancel while charging amounts you didn’t agree to. Avoid at all costs! Use a real merchant account.
Tap to pay doesn’t work on iPhone 14 Pro
I enrolled with Payanywhere to utilize the advertising describing ‘Tap to Pay’. It wouldn’t install that ‘Payment Method’ on the app until the later version and the ‘tap to pay’ option still won’t enroll or initialize to enable that payment option. I have been waiting for tech support to get my phone working for almost 2 months. Still no resolution. Are there other iPhone 14 Pro users that are able to utilize ‘tap to pay’ option??

This company is 100% a scam.
Charging me fees THEY can’t even explain to me! Who does this and how they have not been shut down is beyond me. Filing complaints and hiring an attorney is the only way to get out. The’ll ruin your credit anyway. They are so arrogant- laughing as they commit their financial atrocities- how do these people sleep at night?

Update
I’ve used this service for years. All the new updates have created nothing but problems. New feature for tap to pay has not been useable since added. Very frustrating.
