Strictly a storage app, no facial recognition so not easy to find certain photos if you need

Abysmal
Waste of my time. Every time I try to login it takes me literally hours. They send a code by email and the code expires before I even receive the email, and so it goes on ad infinitum. It’s the same on every device. I’m sure some of their security people are having a laugh at my expense, but I will have the last laugh by binning this lousy company.

Seit ein paar Jahren bin ich Nutzer, auch zahlender Nutzer und froh, keinen Einmalkauf genommen zu haben.
Den auf dem iPhone und im Web läuft Pcloud meist gut, aber auf dem Mac (neueste Software) habe ich seit über 6 Monaten das Problem, dass dort sobald ich im Finder nur einen Ordner umbenenne oder entferne, sowohl der pCloud Client hängt und damit meinen ganzen Mac in die Knie zwingt. Immer und immer wieder. Denn sobald sich der Finder eines Macs aufhängt ist es vorbei, nur noch ein Neustart hilft, wenn überhaupt. Zweitens muss für jedes Update das Programm neu installiert und Festplattenzugriff gewährt werden = Neustart des Systems. Verstehe ich bis heute nicht, warum es nicht einfach ein Update wie bei jedem anderen Programm ist.
Und da mich pCloud nun mehrmals enttäuscht und Frust auslöst wenn man drauf angewiesen ist, bin ich nun überglücklich, alles auf Proton zu übertragen, wo standardmäßig ohne Zusatzkosten E2E verschlüsselt ist mit kostenlosem VPN usw..

Works well
This app has improved a lot in the last couple of years. It’s reliable fast and easy to use.
Updates
Doesn’t save where you left anymore. I.e. I have a custom folder and when I closed app and opened it back up, I was brought back to where I closed it. Now it’s just defaults to the home page so-to-speak. The site will say not secure when I’m on my hotspot so I don’t know what the issue is there.
My favorite storage
As a 16 year-old, I’ve been able to store all my photos and videos. Using this cloud storage I’ve been able to download my Files in my music. This cloud storage has been my favorite than the other cloud storage I have used or paid for. And I also like the privacy.
It’s good, but…
It takes FOREVER to load a simple 30 second video! A lot of my pics take a long time to load too. I’d look elsewhere if you’re choosing to store pics and vids. Also, it’s impossible to move pics btw folders. It used to work, but not now. All you get is a damn pop up asking you to ‘overwrite’, ‘overwrite all’ or ‘skip’. You choose one, but then it does nothing!!!! It’s so annoying. Why make it so hard? Now I’m forced to save each individual pic to the camera roll, then upload them to the folder I want. How analog and out of date is that?

Year subscription
Paid $149.99 for a years subscription in April and have been charged monthly on top of this. Have only been refunded for one month.
I have had to cancel the account so I don’t get charged monthly and have lost the years subscription.

iPhone app fails to allow login with SMS code
After repeated attempts to login with an SMS code, it rejects all codes, even though they are correct. Unable to test the app.

I bought the life time package more than 5 years ago, it’s been FATASTIC. Easy access especially when I’m travelling, needing urgent documents. All expenditures tax related and I can categorise it using many subfolders. It’s a life changer for me. Oh not to mention nostalgic videos of family

今までGoogleDriveやAmazon Photoなどの無料枠を使ってきたが、改悪などでデータが色んなところにバラけるようになったので思い切ってこちらの10TBを購入。NASも考えたが地震や災害の多い日本でのリスクを考えて却下した。
改善点はちらほらあるものの概ね満足している。あとは会社の発展で元がとれるのを祈るばかり。
改善点としては、
・iPhoneからのダウンロードやアップロードをバックグラウンド上でできるようにしてほしい。
・写真1枚5mbの写真を4枚ダウンロードしようとするだけで1.2分かかるのは勘弁してほしい。
・写真の表示をフォルダごとに選べるようにしてほしい。
