Auto Bill Pay
For many months, I keep getting errors that my request can’t be processed only to find out that the multiple attempts I made cause multiple payments going out to creditors almost causing overdraft in my checking account. I called and had a lengthy conversation with an employee to resolve. I plan to stop using PenFed to pay my bills. I am saddened that there is no longer a local bank/credit union I can walk into.

Longtime member but loan application flow is impossible
Tried to initiate a Heloc application from the app. This redirects to browser. After login on browser I select heloc. Which brings to another screen requiring login. No session cache. This login fails because my verified email apparently doesn’t match a member. Tried on multiple browsers chrome/safari. Mobile and desktop. Now I remember why I didn’t go through with my mortgage application here. Note to devs: Perform some basic testing on your applications.

Why is the bill pay system inoperative
UPDATE has made capturing checks worse
The auto capture tool for checks was working fine before. Before, You’d set the front of your check. Auto Capture it. Great. Then It’d take you back out of auto capture, you flip your check to its back , you click on back option . Auto capture. And done. Worked great! BUT Now —-it makes you do it “all at once” and too fast. If you are not fast enough turning your check over after first capture , it’ll just capture front side for BOTH front and back. Please stop over optimizing . The way it was before was working with auto capture. I love auto capture. But let me flip my check and stop rushing me! Let me flip the check first without the auto capture constantly scanning. Thats why the pause and compartmentalization worked before. Not everything needs to be streamlined to the point of losing the point of an app in the first place.
