Doesn’t work
This app is very buggy and won’t even connect to the camera.
Update broken
3 weeks ago they updated the app. It disconnected my wifi and now it won’t reconnect. They need to fix this.
Doesn’t work properly
Doesn’t keep the settings such as recording length, squirrel deterrent etc. also doesn’t record all birds. Just saw a blue jay outside on the feeder and it didn’t record. Disappointed!
What the hell happened??
They switched from Birdty and now nothing works my camera randomly disconnected and now I cannot for the life of me get the app to add it back. What the hell is going on here???

i had it set up and it worked perfectly as birdty and then i disconnected it to prepare for my move and when i logged back in, it was perchlens and won’t even pair my camera anymore. i’ve spent days trying to connect it again. it’s basically useless at this point 🙄
App okay, photos on ads are not!
No app- but ***especially*** one listed as ages 4+ -should have pornographic-looking photos on ads in the app! My kids use the app and I would be mortified if they saw these Temu ads on your app.

The app connected originally, but then it disconnected, and I will not reconnect. Doesn’t seem like the camera will read the QR code. Will return to Costco.
Terrible changes
Worked fine as Birdty. New update broke my account. It won’t recognize my old sign in or the new one after “change password”. Expensive video feeder now worthless. Can’t access account even after I directly cut and paste new password.
Useless
Sadly I was so extremely excited for this bird feeder and like 100% of the reviews say - it doesn’t work. Can’t connect, no support. Guess we return the feeder and go with a different brand - you could have really succeeded with this but the feeder is useless without your app. With everyone returning the feeder - money will be a little scarce. You should have fixed the problems. Shame on you

No longer working correctly
This app worked pretty well until 3-4 weeks ago. It is terrible. It’s been offline for the last 6 days. Finally it started working again. Battery is full; WiFi is strong , but has been on and off line. I use the feeder to gather data and if it cannot work correctly I may have to cancel my subscription. It is a waste of money if I’m not able to use it how it’s intended.

Issues
I hate to leave bad reviews but since PerchLens took over I have had nothing but issues. My WiFi keeps disconnecting. It was fine while it was the Birdty app. When I went to reinstall, it took two days before I could get back on line. I hope these issues are fixed soon, or I’ll soon be moving on to a different app.

Issues lately
Issues logging in for a couple days, now issues accessing the live stream. Checked network on device and router at home and all connections are great.
My Feeder Has Become a Fake International Airport
If PerchLens is to be believed, my humble hummingbird feeder in North Carolina has somehow become the hottest vacation spot for South and Central American hummingbirds. According to the app, I’m basically running an avian Sandals Resort in my backyard.
The problem?
I’m not.
Cute interface, fun idea, but the AI bird ID is about as reliable as a squirrel on espresso. Every flutter becomes an exotic species, every shadow becomes a rare migrant, and every actual hummingbird becomes… well, apparently a tourist with a passport.
Two stars because it’s entertaining, but if you actually want to know what bird you’re looking at, you might as well ask a random pigeon.

Camera is not recording
Camera is not recording again; so not receiving alerts. Also, location is not working again. Can view live streaming only. Customer support is responding quickly.
Terrible/ Negative 5 Stars
I got a new phone and when the app reinstalled, it would not allow me to log in or access the app. I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried changing the password. Then my husband couldn’t access the app. After a Google search, we found out this is a known issue. Don’t buy a bird feeder that communicates with this app. It’s awful.

Why isn’t this app working? I’ve been trying to sign in all day and it does nothing after I click Log In.
