Need to buy tickets before entering metro station!!!
When I took the metro there were inspectors on the platforms — not on the train itself, which is what I expected — asking to see proof of ticket purchase. I had already bought and validated (this takes 60 seconds) my tickets before heading into the station so I’m not sure if the tickets need to be validated *as well as purchased* to pass the inspection. Either way best to do both even before you’re on the platform :)

Never ending bug
Im flying back to Prague and I heard the country is trying to switch to all e-tickets. I tried logging in - doesn’t work! I tried the “forget password” doesn’t work either! Waste of time!

Not bad but keeps showing a green button to activate a ticket only for it to activate so many tickets. If a ticket is already active, the app should warn the user and/or not show activate ticket at all

Просит, вставить или сделать фото для идентификации личности в приложении. По итогу ставишь, а качество очень сильно урезает и делает не фото а пиксели, из-за чего в последствии просить снова сделать новую фотографию, меняю уже 35 раз, специально считаю!

THE "1-MINUTE TRAP": HOW PRAGUE INSPECTORS EXPLOIT TOURISTS
LACK OF HUMANITY OR JUST UNETHICAL TRICKS?
I want to share a frustrating experience I just had to warn everyone traveling by bus/tram in Prague.
I purchased my ticket via the app/SMS before boarding the bus. As many of you know, there is a 1-minute activation delay to prevent people from buying tickets only when they see an inspector.
I activated the tickets and boarded the bus. Literally seconds before my ticket became active, I was approached by inspectors. Even though I showed them that the ticket was already purchased and would be valid in just a few seconds, they showed zero empathy. They insisted on fining me because it wasn't "active" at the exact moment they touched me.
The Red Flag:
What's even more suspicious is that after I paid by card, they claimed they "storno" (cancelled) the report and refused to give me a receipt or any documentation. This feels extremely unprofessional and unethical.
My Advice:
1. Wait at the stop: Do not step onto the bus/tram until you see the "Active" status on your phone. Even 5 seconds of delay can cost you 1500+ CZK.
2. Demand a receipt: If you are forced to pay, never leave without a "Potvrzení o zaplacení" (Proof of payment).
3. Be careful: Some inspectors here seem to prioritize quotas over common sense or fairness.
Prague is a beautiful city, but this lack of basic human decency from the transport staff is a huge stain on its reputation. Safe travels, everyone!
