Love it! App Needs a bit tweaking!
The only thing I would change is that when I turn my phone off and have the live notification feed on my lock screen, 90% of the time it’s not working due to needing to open the app again. I always have to open the app to check on my smoker. That is my ONLY complaint. The smoker its self is spectacular! Some of the best smoked food I’ve ever made!

The application works great and I like that I can monitor my grill while I’m away from home. I would like it to produce a more prominent alert when the grill signal is disconnected.

I can’t change temp from phone the 4 meters overlay the main setting and I can’t click, please fix or I’m throwing my grill off a cliff

Best purchase ever
I’ve originally heard about PitBoss from a coworker and he told me about all the cool features his smoker had . He mentioned there were several awesome advantages to using a smoker like ,like app tracking phone enabled features which helped a beginner like me keep up with temperature and timer controls. There was never a time I felt skeptical about my purchase. I originally went big and bought the Pro Series and I love it so much I bought a Austin XL as a back up on marketplace. This is a great product and I’m very satisfied to have found it and I will continue to recommend it.

Need Background refresh
The App needs background app refresh when phone goes dark all data and connection is lost!!!! Do you guys have a cloud server to sync the data!! Other grill manufacturers have better sett up how about ability to update P settings and enable smoke mode? You need to update faster this app is way behind!!! Get it together!!

Can’t see enough I’ve had other pellet grills, but Pit boss has been my best option

Decided to give the app a try on my iPad, as I know my dad has had issues with it on his iPad (his is an older gen). Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to want to stay connected to the grill (on my newer ipad). At first it seemed okay, but once the pad goes to sleep it disconnects and won’t reconnect. I’m maybe six feet away from the grill, at most…🤷♀️ Not sure what’s going on - kind of a bummer. The grill is freaking awesome, no question. The app? Not so much.

Somewhat helpful
The app is generally helpful and works some of the time. Every time I open the app it displays a message saying my grill turned off and asks if I’m finished cooking. I find this annoying. Cooking notifications such as temperature notifications are very unreliable. The app does display accurate information from the grill such as temperature of the food and the grill temp.

Like Magic
I have never had help with anything much less… light the charcoal, spread the coals, add the meat, turn the meat, check on the meat, take up the meat, while I am preparing other items. I finally saved enough of my money and bought this pit boss. And OMG, it is like magic!!!! It’s easy to start, temp is controlled by my phone, tells me when it’s time to cook, it tells me when it’s time to turn, it tells me when it’s ready, I don’t have to check on the food at all!!! It’s like having an invisible chef at the grill. I’m so in love with this purchase. Thank you!!!! I could sell these easy. I used to be hr mgr at lowes from the time our 5 new stores opened in our district. In 2003. It was the best, had the best employees, salesmen and women. New CEO emanated all of HR. In this era I couldn’t find anyone to try and sell me on this purchase. It should be an easy top seller. EASY!! I trained associates on selling and it was so exciting. Sorry to rant but if I was acknowledged or interacted with someone on this grill I would have purchased before spending time researching the grills on my own and trips to the store. Again it’s like Magic!!!
