Thoroughly SATISFIED!
I’ve had my Pit Boss for for 4 years and it has yet to disappoint me! Every cut of meat, every flavor, every cook - even in the winter - it has risen to the occasion. I will certainly buy another one and I urge anyone looking for a wood pellet grill, that also happens to smoke very well, this is your buy!

Works great, mostly
I have a vertical smoker and a grill that I upgraded to the connected control panel. The smoker connected flawlessly, the grill was challenging at first, then I realized that it just didn’t like my router being so far from the grill. I added a WiFi extender and never looked back. The app is easy to use, easy to set up, and the recipes aren’t bad either.

Pork chops
Just grill at 350 for 3-4 minutes per side with no sauce, sauce them then 3 more minutes and they done! So easy
First impressions
I’ve had my 1250 pit boss for almost two months now and it’s my first one. Here’s my experience. Follow the directions closely, especially on shut down. I find that if you have temperature very high it’s best to lower the temperature to around 250 and when it reaches that point put it in shut down mode and you won’t have to worry about back burn. These have a hot spot because of the searing grade. If you cover that area with water trays and cook on the second rack the hot spot is cut down tremendously. Over all I’m very happy with it. It takes some learning but that’s half the fun. My only complaint is the hopper gets dead spots where the pellets won’t fall down and you have to poke it ever few hours to get the pellets to fall. This could be a big factor for an over night cook. I plan to reach out to pit boss because mine came with from what I can tell the old style hoper not the one displayed in the store. If I get this replaced and it solves the issue I will report back.
